Ironic how they say if you don't want them to call back, call them to say so...

Voicemail Message: "Hey, it's Jessica. I'm calling you from tax resolution center. Go ahead and give me a call back at 855-959-8800. It's regarding your back tax debt. I've got some great news for you, actually with some new changes that have recently taken effect, and I just wanted to discuss your repayment or eliminations options. It is imperative that I speak to you just as soon as possible. So I'll give you my number. Again, it's 855-959-8800. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Have a great day. And if you'd like to opt out on future calls, please just call back the toll-free number."

Exact same voice mail, verbatim, as Olyopoly said. I do not have any tax debt, and if I had the IRS would have contacted me first via paper mail. This is a scam.

What does that have to do with this call?  Many times businesses will call out on a number that they don't have to pay for and give the toll free number to the customer so that they don't incur long distance charges.  The only way to determine if the call is legitimate is to listen to the message or talk to them.

Same exact message!   And, I have no tax debt.

Got this EXACT same call earlier today, left VM , I listened to it and started laughing hysterically. I know it's a scam , we DON'T have any tax debt .

Got the same one this morning 10/31/2024.

Same message and I know it isn't for me as they called a work number that is a federal number and not directly mine.
