got a call saying ive been notified about property in my area have legal papers coming told him gfy doesnt mean good for you

i got a call as well weird called back the guy hung up on me i wasnt that nice but dont own property in the area and bring my legal documents lmao

A lady called when they called it showed up unknown but message said I need to call them by the end of the day ,some papers need my signature papers about a complaint against me 45310 was the reference number.

got a call saying that there was a legal case against me and needed to have documents signed.  Asking me to verify my address, which i did not. i tried to ask them multiple times who they were but they wouldn't answer. saying he was going to transfer me.

8882015646.....must be yet another collection agency from 18 yrs ago. Just dont answer. They'll go away.

They called my daughters in laws trying to get hold of my brother???? I called them and they refused to tell me who they were. Demanded they tell me who they were, they hung up on me.

A lady left a message using my maiden name, saying that someone filed a complaint against me and they have some time sensitive documents they need me to sign. No where in the message did she state the name of the business or the nature of the complaint. Phone number was 888-201-5645.

888-201-5645  First off I am sure this is a debt for someone and they keep calling my phone and leaving a message about a complaint...well hmmm send the complaint to the person don't call them  Lordy scammers unreal

Frankly they don't care who calls back, since they are criminals trying to scare people into paying them extortion money.
This is a common ploy by criminals attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this,  all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.  One of the tricks they use is to call your work place repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying.  They also use the “process server” who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

They call my place of employment telling my boss that I need to get back to them asap it's very important that a bank is suing me I called they said that Wells Fargo is suing me of an account that I had back in 2006 I never had Wells Fargo back in 2006 so I told him wrong person they said they were going to take me off the call list. This number keeps on calling my son and I told him to ignore it if he sees 888-201-5645 ignore it.

I got a call today from a Monique saying she was working for a Document Service Co., looking for my daughter who does not have anything in collection & has very good credit. This lady said my daughter needed to call 1-888-201-5645 within 24 hours because they have been trying to serve her papers & must have the wrong address and that she needed to call with her correct address.  This is the 2nd time in a couple year period that this person has done this.  Why can't she be stopped or charges filed against her for harassment?

No legitimate process server calls you up in advance and tells you that he or she is coming by.  This is most likely a debt collection scam and it is hard if not impossible to find out who's doing it.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.   If you can find them.
