- P P Cruder| 1 replyI received a call on Thursday, 3/14/13 from a Robert Ditman who stated that I had came in second place in a sweepstakes winning $475.000.00. He stated that I had donated a dollar for Country Crock Butter last year in 2012. I could not remember doing this but he stated that he was legit and that I would be receiving this amount money in a check from Bank of America through FedEx and that I could cash it anywhere. FedEx would be out tomorrow at my apartment between 10 am and 2 pm. They never arrive. He gave me my previous address which I question how did he get this information. I did not get excited but I was waiting to see if he was going to ask for any money because I just saw scam on the news about people from Jamica calling people telling they have won the "lotto." But he never ask for any personal identification such as date of birth or social security number. I do question who is this person and how did he get my previous address which I do know people can access this information from the internet. He also had an accent.
- Badge714 replies to P P CruderThe scam is to build your confidence- After a while, there will be a mention of "taxes", "fees", "Delivery charge", etc. that you will need to pay. When they have your name & address, then come the threats if you don't pay.
- J.L.B.I received the same call today(4/4/13). Same info about Country Crock and the Wounded Warrior Project. For a sweepstakes I am suppose to be the "Second Prize" winner of $475,000.00. Said his name was "Robert Ditman" gave a claim# MRA 631. Got the same speel about donating to the WWP back in 2012
That I would receive a package tomorrow between 10am and 2pm from FedX and that I would need a picture ID to sign for the package.. And to also keep this to myself. I do not expect to received anything. I wonder how they are getting Phone #'s. Only asked if I worked what kind of work I did. I waited for the " It will only cost you" but never asked for anything else. I feel this is information gathering for possible ID thief. So be wary!!- Call type: Survey
- PoohbearI receive the same phonecall (4/6/13). Well Today the man told me the money is at the airport in Miami, and they needed 2,845.00 to get the check. I hung up the phone. This is definitely a scam. Please do not fall for this. I don't understand like the rest how he got my phone number and my address. I was told by a lady that once you send the money, they send the box with nothing in it. So please be aware!!!
- MJB| 1 replyOn 4/24/13 received the same call with the same details as J.L.B. above on 4/4.

- RickReceived a call saying I won second prize in a Wounded Warrior Project giveaway from Country Crock.
He said I would get a check tomorrow. He gave a claim number too (mra631). So sad that his scam is
using such a wonderful program as their cover. - RobReceived same message today on phone to call this number ASAP.Called but there was no answer.Obviosly this is another scam
- ToyaGot same speel and asked a lot of questions he had answers to. But, I immediately called Fedex and they had nothing coming my way and verified that would not have a delivery time parameter either. Amazing he keeps his first name of Robert but last was Daniels. Using the same claim #MRA631. Well, hope he's ready to be caught cause he tried to scam the wrong person. Unfortunately those who will fall for this will never read these comments.

- Dan| 1 replyYep, me too. Still waiting for my $475,000 from FEDEX. Sick minds and greed cause some people to do strange things.
Once again, If it is too good to be true then it probably is. Hope they get this guy and put him in jail for using Wounded Warrior and American military heroism for illegal purposes. - Rachel| 1 replyGot the same call from Robert Daniels, figured out it was a scam when he told me i'd have to pay to get check released from customs.
