Bogus computer support from India

Thanks Joe, glad I didn't answer that.  They rang me soon after your post and they rang for a long time.

ID shows "Not Provided".  No message left.  Now blocked.

888-210-2109 called today, April 3 2015 left no message.
name comes up as toll free. I am sure that they will try again under another phone number.

Caller said he was following up on a tech call to fix my slow computer.  He kept insisting that I get on my computer so he could help.  Said several times I need his help to fix the slow computer.   - Do NOT sign on your computer for them.

If you call back to be put on their do not call list they have a "special offer" just for you

These people call frequently. They pretend to be from your company's technical support department (that doesn't work very well when they call your home) or try to claim your computer is somehow causing problems on the internet. They play on most people's lack of technical understanding to try to get them to install software on their computer that supposedly solves the "problem" it has, but it actually lets them take control of your computer to send out spam. Inevitably the caller has an Indian accent (the subcontinent, not native American) although they usually say their name is "Mick Johnson" or "John" or some other American-ish sounding name. It's a complete fraud and can be very dangerous.

Same thing here..   Received a call from this number and caller said his name was Greg from technical support.  Said my computer was sending error message and he could fix it..  Caller had strong foreign accent so I told him he was full of s**t and he was a liar and if I received another call the FBI and CIA will investigate...   Let's see if I get another call from thus number....        DEFINITELY A SCAM!!!!!!!

Called about my computer running slow, could hardly speak English. Wanted me to type in an address so they could do an extensive scan of my system. This is another big scam, that phone companies and the Government allow to exist. I guess this keeps people employed repairing credit, and cleaning computers.
When these nuts call, hang up on them!
