888-212-5845

This is a message from ERG regarding an open investigation pertaining to ME to verify location information. Please contact the issuer at 888-212-5845  and reference case file 404-02181 to prevent further escalation.

They called and text me saying they need to verify my location to serve me papers.

I told them I'd give them my address and they said their investigators would get the correct address.

I got the same text and call today, they also called my mom

Received a VM and a text inquiring info on my sister.. message from ERG (no name given) regarding an open investigation pertaining to "My sisters name" to verify location information - Ref #404-02968. Please contact the issuer at 888-212-5845.... Call blocked and VM deleted...

I have been getting the same message from the same numbers saying the same thing.

“Good afternoon this message is intended for —— my name is Yvonne Meadows I'm calling on behalf of ERG this call is regarding a pending complaint against you contact the issuing agent today at 888-212-5845 and reference your case number 405 Dash 00248 this urgent message requires your immediate attention today ——- a failure to comply will result in further action being taken…”

Based on other posts, this is the fake process server scam. REAL process servers don't call in advance. Block and ignore such calls if you can.

Yeah I also got a local number and was a lady that left a voicemail. She didn’t leave a name but said same thing to call the 888 number cause it was urgent lol

Received vm, called ...was answered by male. Was ask for case number told him didn't recall, stated to hold on. Hung up on him.
Immediately phone rang with 2 different numbers,  did not answer.

Scam scam scam , they are good and almost had me! stay away

GETTING: This message is intended for (me). My name is Brooke I'm calling from ARG in order to verify location information regarding your file placed in our office. We have made an attempt house for some documents to a XXXXX address. Unfortunately at the time of delivery they were deemed undeliverable in order to complete the verification. You will need to contact the issuing agent at 888-2125 845 Reference Case #

There is always someone trying to scam people via intimidation tactics. The give away to me on this one, they texted me. Like in this day and age that we need crap like this being done to thousands of people that are more than likely suffering more these past 2 years.  I'm glad you didn't get caught up in it.
