some scam about important info about my account- what account???

2 phone calls (8 am and later), in 2 days even after I asked them not to call me)
supposedly regarding my "cellular".

I got a call from "Unknown Name, Unknown phone"  with a vague message saying that there was a problem with my cellular account.  They gave a callback number of 888-212-5859.  I did not call this number back because it all seemed like a scam to me.  But I went online to the website for Consumer Cellular, my cell phone carrier, logged in and discovered that there WAS in fact a problem with my account.  
So my advice to you if you get a message either from this number or directing you to call this number
is that you contact your cellular carrier thru their regular customer service phone number or website.

My feeling is this is a cellular carrier telemarketing to get folks to switch to Consumer Cellular service.  I didn't return the call, instead googled both the phone number they called me from and the one they instructed me to call re "important information regarding my cell phone".  Sometimes I don't think being on the DO NOT CALL list does any good!!!!

Got a voice mail from 888-212-5859 regarding my cellular account.  Checked the number before returning the call.  Obviously a fraudlent call.

Got a call on my land line today from these low-lifes regarding my cell service. It's not Consumer Cellular because they're my carrier. It's none of C.C numbers. I called them about it and gave the number. Your right regarding the Do Not Call list. It's usually the rude and crude telemarketers out of asia.

Vague message saying they had important info re my cell phone plan.
