Received messages from blocked phone number this past Friday stating the following:
"This message is being left regarding a complaint you are directly involved in. It's also showing a pending fraud enhancement which is still under review as it is attached to your name and your social ending in ****. I've made several attempts to contact you regarding this matter and you failed to respond. Be advised if no return call is placed today we will move forward without your cooperation. you or your attorney can return the call to 888-212-8169 and reference you're in-house case number as WA28962829."

They called me 4 more times today (Monday) so I know the initial threat of "moving forward without your cooperation" is bogus.

I know this is a scam. I just wanted others to be aware if they search for this phone number. Complaints don't get filed against your social security number and that message she left was the very first contact I had with this particular scammer. It's similar to others I've dealt with in previous years though.

Just fyi a complaint can be filed against your social security number depending on the type of complaint and then it reports to the credit bureau
