They called and threten to come to my work or home to serve me papers .
She said to be Ms. Green and left a case and phone number 888 212 9303 to call back.
Their call came in as NO ID .
Do you know what to do about this ?

My call came from a Crystal Smith with a blocked number, stating she was with some process department and had legal papers to serve.  Obviously illegal debt collection/scammer tactics so I started to ask questions which she refused to answer so I hung up.  Internet research ties her name to the WCCI group and there's lots of negative debt collection practices.  She also called a volunteer organization I'm associated with and left a message with the receptionist stating that legal documents have been filed against me and left a call back number of 888-212-9303 x 340, and a case number.  Then Crystal called me back, hung up, then called back again stating that she confirmed with the HR department of the volunteer organization that I was an employee there and I'd be served with papers at work.  I simply said I wasn't but of course she is all knowing so I laughed and she hung up.  What a moron.  If you look up this number it refers to a doctor's office, but when you call it the auto machine says you've called USC and if you know your party's extension, etc.  Regardless, illegal practices carried out by very, very stupid people.  Unfortunately, too many innocent people fall prey to their threats.  If you get another call, which you can count on, ask for their company name, address, and fax number.  Expect refusals and talking over anything you might say.  But don't give up.  Tell them you're sending a demand in writing that all communication is to be in writing and not by phone calls.  They'll probably hang up on you, but the more info you get the better.  File a complaint with the FTC and your state's attorney general's office.
