I get a call from this number at least 4 times a day.  I know it from some one wanting money and I do not answer.  This is very annoying especially when you are handicapped and don't have a phone near you.  I have enough trouble supporting my family without having these leaches wanting money for something.

Probably a hired fund raiser.

Same thing here.  We don't answer if no name on caller ID and they never leave a message.  I look them up here and if that number has been harassing others too, I block em!

I receive a call from this number almost daily. I don't answer it anymore. Want it to stop!!!

I saw a suggestion that the NSA would have fun trying to find these @#$%^$#$$ jerks that ignore call lists and set their caller ID to things like "TOLL FREE CALL" when it's really a third party group HIRED by a supposed reputable group. Maybe the NSA could develop a homing missile that finds these groups and makes a big hole. I'd pay higher taxes to support THAT program!

This call was from a Washington State Law Enforcement Association - legit organization by their website but I believe the caller was a scammer. Had a similar call from another "state patrol association" a few weeks ago and they had even managed to figure a way to steal their caller ID but that one was a scam as well. This number is a scam!!!

If it is for charity they are exempt from the Do not call list.

I did not answer either because I thought it was Gold Line calling from Los Angeles, as they periodically bother me to buy gold.  But reading the post from Schrock reminded me of a call I got from the Fraternal  Order of Police asking for a donation.   I too told the first person who called that I could not donate until I started working again and he kept asking.   The second time after I said no, he quickly transferred me to a lady who asked if I could donate within ten days of receiving the request in the mail.  I again told her no.  She sent out the letter anyway which came yesterday.  It is like they do not understand the word no even after I explain why I can't donate.
