Got a call from this number with a caller ID of Rite Aid. I use Rite Aid for my Rx so I answered. Woman said she was on a recorded line and needed to talk to me about one of my Rx. I said "OK". She said in order to confirm your ID what is your birthday and full name. I said I would not answer that and she said "good-bye". I do not know if is was a scam or not.

888 218 6002 calls MY CELL OFTEN. I never answer unknown numbers. Voicemail left was just hot air???.i say scammers...i will BLOCK

These calls aren't scam, this is the medication support group affiliated with Rite Aid. They verifyy your identity with info they already have (HIPAA regulations) and proceed with call if you choose to do so. Call takes about 5 minutes or so to complete.

These people are not from Rite Aid. I called the corporate offices and they confirmed that they are not affiliated with Rite Aid. their purposes may not be nefarious however they are pretending to be from Rite Aid and that in itself it's probably Criminal.

Called Rite Aid's main number and spoke with them about this.  She said the call is a scam and Rite Aid does not make these calls.  She also said her mother gets these calls all the time. The caller ID 6172270292 is an old Rite Aid number not now being used.

Don't give them any information such as social security numbers.

Definite scam.  Rite Aid will NEVER ask you to verify your personal info on the call.  DO NOT give the caller any info.  If you do, expect to be scammed and hacked.

Called on a Friday evening. Left no voicemail.

Got call from no. saying they were calling from rite aid about information on a certain prescription and asking for address and date of birth. Went to rite aid here and asked about this and was told they don't use 888 no.

Got message on a Friday. Said they needed to talk to me about my prescription medication. Said they were Ride Aid medication support. I do fill prescriptions at Rite Aid sometimes, but this kind of call  has never happened before. Scam?

This was given as their call back number. My caller ID showed 617-227-0292. She said she was in southern New Hampshire but this is a Boston, MA number. I would not give her my birthday.  Claims they are affiliated with RiteAid I think they are fishing for mail order business. I told her I am on the DNC list. She said they would mail me something.

This is not a scam. If you fill your prescriptions at Rite Aid they offer services to you for multiple things. They helped get my pill bottles switched to easy open caps. They have to verify your information though. I think it’s against the law if they don’t. Really nice people though.

But what if you DON'T "fill your prescriptions at Rite Aid"? Who are they then?
Why did you need this unnamed caller to help get your pill bottle caps switched? Why didn't you simply ask the pharmacy directly to do it?
Oh, and why are you even here? There's no logical reason for you to look up a known phone number.
