Actually I got an unauthorized charge to my account and the number listed is 888-218-7997. When I called it said that is was no longer in service

Hi, I just got this charge to, no idea who they are. Mine is for $102. Have you figured it out yet? I can't find anything, but I sent a request to have the charge disputed.

I had $127.62 stolen from my account without my authorization.  I did some searching and was able to link the number 888-218-7997 to a company called AJax Ltd.  Except, this company is also linked to a website called, tramadol-no-prescription.com (877-479-2455) and MedMart Pharmacy (724)628-7500.  These companies are scam artist posing as legitimate businesses.  I have asked my bank to investigate it and I suggest that anyone who is a victum to do the same.

Yep. I just got tagged by the AJAX LTD folks today. Shockingly, even the paranoid folks at Chase Bank didn't notice that this disconnected phone and fake company has been ripping people off openingly since at least August of 2009.

Remember, if the number is 888-218-7997, the charge is FAKE, PHONEY and a
RIP OFF. Get and new card immediately, and be sure to move any auto charges to a new card.  

BTW, many banks offer free express shipping of a new card, if someone can sign for it.

I just received a charge on my Capital One for $138.95 and my husband was going to pay it but thought to ask me about it first. Of course I investigate anything that is questionable to me even if its something I did charge and forgot about. I called this Ajax company only to get a recording and they didn't even give their company name so immediately I called Capital One told them what happened and asked them to cancel the card and give me a new number. I will call them first thing tomorrow and give them this information. Thanks everyone!

This is the name and number that came up on my Capital One bill and from the looks of it I'm not the first so everyone.... keep an eye out on your statements!

I just found out that I have a charge on my Chase VISA card for $104 with AJAX LTD listed as the vendor.  They don't exist except as a possible shell company.I called the other number 877-479-2455 and the phone is answered in either India or the Philippines.

i got 4 charge attepts for 134.99 but only 2 went through. i guess it is worth balancing my check book!! How do people sleep at night!!! If i go through a drivethrough and get an extra $1 back i turn around so that person doesn't get into trouble!! What the heck is this world coming to!!

I just investigated a charge of $123.90, AJAX LTD didn't ring a bell for me, I called the 888 number, and it said it was OK to send a fax, so I started to get MORE suspicious, then I read some of the posts here, and the fifth one down (By Tiny) gave a company that sold Tramadol. I called, a lady answered, and it turns out I did purchase the item for that amount. I have neuropathy from a broken back, and Tramadol helps. I noticed another one of the posters here had a charge of $123.90, so perhaps they ordered and forgot like I did. GL

Definitely an online pharmacy selling all sorts of meds without prescription. I have ordered from them and never been charged for anything other than what I received in the orders. they will bug the HELL out of you with phone calls once you have bought from them though.

You are not kidding about bugging the hell out of you with phone callls. Non stop.
