Message- Hi this is Kate Morgan and I'm reaching out to you today because your student loans just became eligible for new programs that were just released in 2019. You could be looking in an immediate reduction or elimination of your current payment and even possible forgiveness on the balance of your loan we today and I can go over the details. My direct phone number is 888-231-7464. Again that phone number is 888-231-7464. I look forward to hearing back from you.

I missed a call from (866) 788-5786. This was the exact same message that was left as voicemail.

I received this same call as well. It is a scam folks! #1 Sweet innocent sounding Kate does not identify what company she is calling from. #2 The call does not identify who Kate is trying to reach, essentially whoever answers will do. #3 I do not have, nor have I had in over 20 years any outstanding student loans. #4 If you receive a call and have to turn to the internet to know who is trying to reach you...it is safe to assume they are being covert for a reason. That reason is they are scamming you!

Rang once, went straight to VM without me "ignoring" it. Got the same message verbatim which didn't give my name, the company name, or what the "program" is that was just released.

Got this same message. Same concerns as others including she didn't address me or my number, didn't name who she worked for, and didn't name the program that she is calling about or how she got my information. I am currently enrolled in Public Service Loan Forgiveness as a prosecuting attorney for my local government, and this conduct has all of the elements of a scam. In addition, I've never received anything like this in my history of the PLSF program.

I got the same message about 2 hours ago. This does not seem legit. I do have student loans, but she didn't say my name or say where she was calling from. The call only rang once for half a second and said "scam likely" on my caller ID. I wouldn't call back on this one.
