Got call from this number oin a Saturday at 3:45, anyone have infor on this one?

It is allstate insurance calling about emergency roadside plans

I canceled these ya-hoos months ago and they won't stop calling.  They also keep trying to bill me for a service I don't have.  I told them I went with AAA roadside because I was offended at their crass customer service treatment.  Everytime I spoke with someone, it sounded like someone from India who was trying to tell me I had to give out very personal information.  Even tho' their system shows I was canceled, they keep trying to bill me and won't stop calling.

OUTRAGEOUS!

BTW-  Their Roadside service is apparently separate from their insurance department.  I have their insurance and they've been great as far as that's concerned.  However, whoever they outsourced their roadside service royally sucks!

Before I forget, the last bill they sent me didn't even have a phone number to contact them.  I had to call Allstate Insurance to get the phone number for the roadside service department.  I couldn't even be transferred, that's how seperated they are.

This number, 888-234-8569 has been calling me nonstop for weeks and I've never actually talked to anyone. Whenever I answer, I hear a few clicks and then nothing...like the call was being transferred or something and it failed. Well, today the number called me SIX TIMES in the time span of ONE HOUR! I finally looked up the number and found this site. Knowing now that it was Allstate, I looked up their customer service number and I called them and told them what was going on. They verified that the 888 number WAS theirs. They got my number off their caller ID and they filled out a harrassment claim for me and took my number off their directory. Hopefully this will work. If anyone else is interested in trying this solution, call their customer service # at 1-800-998-8697. I hope this information can help some of you.

I got a call from this number.  I called the number back and there was a recording from allstate insurance saying they called me "about a roadside service plan".  I have never dealt with allstate before so this is obviously a random telemarketing call.  
  I think I will try calling the new "no call list" phone number for cell phones, which is supposed to put my cell phone number on a national list of numbers that telemarketers have supposedly agreed not to call.
