- Well replies to E DavisThanks for that post that makes absolutely no sense at all.
- Violet| 1 replyI got that same message and from the same number. They don't say who they are or what it is about. Number 888-240-0201. They also threaten they would call by my place of work because the've sent me a notice and I have not responded. I haven't received anything from anyone. If any one knows anything about this or who could it be, please let me know. Thanks!
- AZ replies to DavidI'm getting them too. Do NOT give them ANY data. It's a scam to get your personal info. They threatened me too, with going to my employer. I don't have an employer! They also said to call the 888 number with my SS card or Government ID ready for verification. They don't even know who they are calling. They are just hoping for a sucker to give them info so they will have access to their finances ie: tax returns, bank accounts and credit cards. Be safe
- Ciara replies to VioletSame identical language left on voicemail. Even had the audacity to call back within the half hour to give me a second chance before they come to my job. No information left in regards to their identity, claim or reference number. Appears to be a phishing scam to me.
- CWG40 replies to DavidMost likely not legitimate. Look at the other notes.
- JoeThis is a scam! They called my father with the same message. Reference to a claim. They leave no identifying information so called claim number. They threaten to come to your home or place of employment. DO NOT RESPOND!
- Call type: Debt collector
- BeckCalled and left a message concerning a claim. Said if I didn't responded that they would send someone with a written claim to my house. I didn't call back.
- GP415-480-0420 called and left a message with threatening sounding language about a claim against me but no information about who it is, the nature of the claim, etc. They say I should call 888-240-0201 to respond to the claim or they'll send a courier to my home or workplace. It seems like a scam.
- SFThey called my husband's cell phone twice within an hour, leaving messages about a claim and threatening to send a someone to our house and his workplace. They never said who they were, what exactly it was about, or who they were calling for. Said to call 1-888-240-0201. Pretty sure this is a scam as we are caught up with all creditors.

- GP(415) 480-0420 called again and left a message. This time the caller identified herself as Ms. Dennis with Consumer Legal and named me as the intended recipient of the message. She said there is a legal matter in her office and that I should call 888-771-2177 about it. That is a different call-back number from what a caller from the same number used in February, which was 888-240-0201. http://www.cityfreq.com/phone/888771.html says "888-771-2177 is TONETTE BORROLLI," which doesn't sound like Consumer Legal to me.
- Caller: Consumer Legal
- D smithSaid I owed a claim and they would send someone to my place of employment if I didn't respond.
- Caller: Didn't say
