Suddenly out of nowhere I’ve been receiving scam calls with the same voice message for a week now. It’s always about a DIRECTV promotion that can save me money.

Three windows popped up on my desktop telling me that I had a security breach and to call this number. the messages used the microsoft logo and WINDOWS  DEFENDER. I was not able to close the windows and hd to shut down my PC. The second time, I called the # and reached what sounded like an offshore call center. The person answering the phone was unintelligible due to accent and bad phone connection. A few hours later I rebooted a third time and have not received any additional messages.

If you would have cleared out the cache, cookies, and history it would not have kept popping up.  Also if you had installed and used an ad blocker you would not have seen it at all.

This number just popped up as the number for "Windows Support" on Scam "Windows Defender Security Center" warnings.  I'm sure if you call it, they will help you out...of your money, and probably will load malware on your computer.
