Rec'd call from this number saying they are AT&T and asking questions they should know the answer to.  Would not satisfy my questions to them.  AT&T would not confirm that this number was theirs.  Earlier this year I had a similar call and it turned out to be someone who AT&T contracted with, who made a contract for services with me and then  AT&T refused to honor the contract.  It took 8 months to settle the issue and get my money back - over $1,000!

hi thanks for the post, i just got a call too from them, and it just sounded fishy, i told them i was going to call them back.  Now i know i won't, i knew it sounded too good to be true.

Had a message and called them back.  They seemed very fishy and not at all on the up and up.

A man named "Shane Bender" called the office and asked to speak w/ "the person who handles the AT&T account".  When questioned, he claimed that his company was hired by AT&T to "make sure you are getting the best deal".  Never said the name of his company, but left this number.  I called the number back and spoke w/ "Sheila".  She confirmed the company name as TelePerformance.  Called AT&T and spoke w/ a CSR (didn't catch her name) who was very helpful in that she removed the company name from the vendor list.  She said it'll take 24 hours for it to go through.  I'm not holding my breath... If I want a discount on my phone service, I'm calling the company directly, not going thru some random person who claims credentials.

They are ATT Authorizes dealer try to scam.

The company is not trying to scam anyone.  Like several companies at&t has outsourced service to other companies to offer their services.  Several companies outsource other companies to keep Americans employed. Not just sales but customer service too.
