I answered the phone, heard faint voices in the background and then the call was disconnected within 5 or 6 seconds. I called the number back and it was Countrywide. The gentleman who answered said I could either have him put me on a no-call list, which would take 30 days to activate, or he could transfer me to a customer service rep. The CSR said he'd have to transfer me to their V.I.P. department to take me off of their calling list. After jumping through hoops a recorded message came on saying, "I'm sorry your number could not be completed. Please try hanging up and calling again." What for? I wouldn't recommend Countrywide to anyone!

It's BofA. They bought Countrywide. I took the call and should save about $200 per month on my mortgage payment.

It's Countrywide.  They call on average about every three months to try and get me to refinance.  It would make more sense if they just called people who could actually save some money with an offer of a lower rate. It would have to be an offer less than 4% for me to be interested, so don't call me until then.

Seem to call late.  7:00-7:30PM MDT.
It is annoying, then no one answers.
    Total silence.
I thought if we signed up with the powers-that-be, these calls would be blocked.

Calls persist, never answered, despite communicating months ago that we are NOT interested in re-financing, well after Countrywide was bought out by Bank of America.

This is BOA who has now called us six times within 2 weeks, always late in the evenings between 8 & 10 PM EDT.  1st call hung up when we answered the phone.  2nd caller asking us to refinance & we told him "No thanks", he hung up on us. 3rd caller at least was polite and didn't hang up. 4th called same story....please refi...again no thanks, and then hung up.  5th caller we interupted before he finished his speal, and he hung up on us.  Grrrrrr..... 6th caller we could hardly hear with all the background noise, but finally told him very clearly to take us off their call list and that we were not interested...he hung up as well.  We have now contacted BOA to inform them of this obnoxious and unprofessional behavior.  Big deal......they won't do anything.  We are looking to take our mortgage to a bank that didn't get a federal bailout now.

It is not BOA!  Listen closely to the name they give it is not "Bank of America".  It is BOA HL LLC.  That is not the same thing.

It is a scam.  Do not give them information.

This is not Bank of America. Just got a message where they said 'this is an attempt to collect a debt' but we don't have any unpaid debt. It's a scam.

This IS Bank of America. Countrywide did this before BOA bought them. We just refinanced last year and they are wanting to offer us a free consultation. If you call teh tollfree number back you get a automated message that says "Thank you for calling Bank of America in regards to our recent marketing call...". Countrywide sent emails, phone call all the time about offering refinancing and BOA is just continuing with the dame tactic. Hey, they do it because it works. It is frustrating though.

Stephanie is correct, it is Bank of America. I was able to speak with someone but it got me no where, she had to transfer me to customer service but then I couldn't get through.

Yes, BOA refinancing. I asked to be removed from the call list and was transferred to a Customer Service department that is closed for the day.  "They called me at 8PM as I was putting the baby to bed.  I can't call them at that time?"

The phone rings. We stop what we are doing to answer. The call comes in blank. No one is ever on the other end.
