I received an automated call yesterday morning from their toll free number (888-241-9150) and pressed 1 to connect. I was connected to Pat Ladkin, she asked for my phone number. I said "You called me", what company are you with. She demanded to know my phone number before she would identify her company, I asked for her company name again and she said "We'll just keep calling until you co-operate with us", then hung up.

I proceeded to call her over and over and over again - at least 150 times yesterday, but she only answered the first time, after that I got her voice mail. I left a long message each time, telling her that I will continue to call at least 100 times per day until SHE co-operates with ME and tells me who she works for.

I left voice mail after voice mail yesterday, telling her that if she wants to stop the calls, she will need to pick up the phone and tell me what company she works for. I even promised her that I wouldn't swear when I got her on the phone when she picked up, and also that as soon as she gave me her company name that I would immediately tell her my phone number so this could all be over.

3 or 4 times she answered by mistake, and each time I actually got her on the phone, I said "Are you ready to co-operate with me yet?" She continued to hang up each time.

I then continued calling her today, and eventually she got the picture that this was not going to end the way she wanted it to. A few minutes ago, she answered my call and told me the name of her company - KINGSTON DATA AND CREDIT (https://kingstondc.com/patricia-ladkin/) - Immediately after she gave me her company's name, she said "and now can I have your phone number please?"

I said "No, I lied", and then hung up.

For anyone reading this, I highly recommend this tactic the next time you get a call from a bitchy collection agent who thinks she can intimidate you.

Exact same scenario as what Paul described.  Answered the phone, got an automated message and I pressed 1.  Woman answered, I think she said "This is [name] speaking" but I couldn't really understand, so I just said "Yes?"
    "Hello?"
    "YES?!"
"Yes, hi, did you get a call from my office?"
    "I did."
"OK, can I have your phone number to look you up?"
"You CALLED this number, so you have it."
"Well, unfortunately for me to look up your record, I need your phone number."
"OK, well, I'm not giving you any personal information, so remove me from your call list and have a nice day."

this call is 100% fraud and I can assure you through several attorney generals, they're fraudsters and OUTLAWS. the reason they can't tell you who they are is because they're evading the law, using fake names, numbers, etc.

their calls are routed from Caribbean or India into US. the goal is to scare someone into paying them over the phone. now that I know these calls are fraud, I don't even bother to answer, esp. when the company's name is "Unknown". reporting them to FTC is a joke because they're criminals. having your local law enforcement phone them back is best as they run like the rats they are. they'll first swear they never called you, which is true, because they don't: one scammer makes the call, then call is routed via US system to you. they can never give a name of who they are, where they're located or even a business/collection license (required), because they're 100% criminals. they've somehow stolen our information via some source and are using it to scare someone into paying.

been getting these fake calls since 2008, but they're now down to 1 every few months. I've been threatened w/ court action literally, even threatened w/ court action in Seattle because once when asked what number I was calling from, I gave them the payphone's number while I live on *East* Coast and never lived in Seattle. she then looked up person payphone belonged to,  then ran off a script with name of whomever that AT&T payphone service belonged to, stating owner owed them money w/a random amount.  THEN called back via same payphone and gave a her their own number, she THEN began same script but stated the person's name so fast, I couldn't make out if it was a woman or guy's name LOL

they're basically using a script: when you call them back and verify a valid number they then start the scam with hopes that someone will give them money over the phone, which goes to some unknown location , including a beauty and barber shop in Las Vegas, which is how they were once found using a bogus credit card with information immediately forwarded to FBI.

I wish I had a local politician's number! that's one way to get their attention about these financial terrorism calls!!

I've been getting calls to this phone number everyday starting about a couple weeks ago to my voicemail line. To explain, I'm a  Canadian that's been living and working in Vietnam for the past 5 years. I ported my home number to an internet free voicemail service before I left. I get a voicemail it sends me a message of that voicemail to my email inbox. I have no idea why I'm getting these calls and why they started up and of course no one answers when I phone back from my Vietnam phone number (it has a country code 84 followed by 9 numbers).

I followed the procedure someone said before and I found their website and the person a Tracy Ladkin. I phoned her number 226 number and another 888 number no answers not even voicemail. Their website says their into credit management and other crap which I assume means debt collection.

Why I would be getting debt collection calls starting about 2 weeks ago when I haven't lived in Canada for 5 years is beyond me.

    Frustrated
I had a number show on my caller ID as V10213360200004. I then just hit dial and the number 88-241-9150 came in. So it looks like they are masking their number but never leave a message at all. If it is that important they will leave a message

Calls numerous times.  Have emailed asking for email communication only.  Saying she's calling from a lawyer's office  but it shows up as a collection agency.  I never had a contract with the company she said she's calling about.   I asked for proof and got nothing just calls
