It's Takhar Collection Agency calling.

Got a call from above number and they identified themselves as tekhar group , the person left a message on my machine stating that this was not a collections call , and that it was not a sales call. stated that they only  wanted to verify information .... they also by takhar investments (519)622-4141 . What happens is that they make the call to you under false pretenses to get your location (basically a skip tracer) and if you verify any information , it is handed off to a collector who will do nothing but harrass you . a company that contacts you on false pretenses as far as i know is illegal ....you do not have to verify any personal information what so ever.

Call 1-888-246-3871 ext673 to discuss details of Citi Financial loan. Originally called on blocked # and left this message. My wife called back above #. He was very abrasive, asked for her personal info to confirm her identity and then threatened to see her in court when she did not fall for this.

I received this call and went on their website. I saw a letter that was supposedly written to me 2 days ago, with a balance of 883.70, and the creditor name blank. Mind you, if I had an acocunt with a balance like that they would have come out of the woodwork a loong time ago. I moved from this house that they are sending the letter over 4 years ago, and never heard of any bill like that. And I do not have Columbia house, had them years ago.....

Said i needed to call them back right away. Well i deleted the voicemail, and i have a sneaky thought in the back of my head since i do work for a identity theft protection service that they are only trying to steal peoples identity's because that just what it seems like to me. like they tell you, you need to pay for it but they are really going to stick you with that bill once you give them your information.

when they callled my friend we heard a creepy song, dogs barking, and people saying to " get out" or whatever that means.

I don't know but some people called me oneday asking to settle their debt.. not sure who they are.. but i believe it was done by some collection guys.. still investigating. ..

this company called me and left a message but the company name was muffled so I called back to ask what they wanted, keep in mind I don't owe anything OK, a guy asked for mu phone # to pull up my file and when nothing came up he asked for the reference #.. but they didn't leave one, so he said " well the only thing I can suggest is when they call back obtain the reference #" I tried to ask what kind of company this was to find out what they might be calling about and he just hung up on me! So my husband got on the computer to find something out about them and came across this web site... this 1-888-246-3871 was the # on my phone and the # they left on the answering machine. Seams kinda fishy to me!

They called me 7 times on thanksgiving I finally answered the next day the man on the other end was cussing at me calling me all sorts of names and so on. I was so mad I told him to never call me again and that I was pretty sure that what he was doing was illeagle I said i wanted his full name contact info and that i was going to contact the FTC he got more mad said he was within the law cussed some more so i hung up haven't answered a call from the # since.

i awnsed and talk to a lady asking for another person that lives in the same house and said that they had made a promise that they had proken so i asked for their name and a code so the person could call back well the lady hung up soooooooooooooooooooooo... just saying that it seems a little strange that she would not give her name nor a code so the person could call back and her angry voice sounded stranger when i confronted her with these questions.

they just don't stop.  they are the most rude, unprofessional people i've ever dealt with.  they are abusive, when u try to spk they just yell at you, don't let you get a word in & then hang up on you.  i requested to spk with the mgr i was advised that Matthew Jackson is the supervisor & was transferred over to him again without being advised.  as soon as he came on the line he was abusive, yelling, calling me names & again hung up on me.  i will be reporting them to the better business bureau.  i suggest anyone else who has problems with them to report them as well.  when the BBB gets a mountain of complaints they will then do something about them.  if you have specific name of the person thats even better as they'll see that all employees there do the same thing.

They called me around 6 times in the past year.  They knew my address....from 3 years ago.  Supposedly I had a past due balance of $99 on an account I supposedly had with some book club.  I don't buy books.  So I was a little sketched out about them.  Told the lady I needed to find my wallet to call her back with my info.  I obviously never did after doing research on the number and company.  They called me yet again today from this number (the previous number was 800-620-0371) and told me that they have reported me to the credit company.  Funny thing is, I pay monthly to monitor my credit.  Nothing negative has been submitted as of today.

DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!!

Even more pathetic are the collector shills coming on websites and spewing nonsense about "Paying our bills" when this discussion is about consumer rights regarding the collection of old debts and people are posting they are being harassed for debts they don't owe....

This # has called me twice...a mans voice..uses my first name initial and my last name.  I never use my initial...they got my # from the Ph book.  they gave an extension to call back...and spoke as if it was urgent. I don't think so.....

THIS LOSER COMPANY HAS CALLED ME SEVERAL TIMES UNDER DIFFERENT NAMES. THEY THREATEN YOU AND LEAVE VERY ANGRY MESSAGES. I WILL NEVER RESPOND BECAUSE I DO NOT OWE ANYONE ANYTHING. I'm glad I decided to check this out on the net tonight. Came home to a message from a female on my phone saying basically the same as above and that they strongly suggest I call them back before 7pm tonight at 888-246-3871 extension 608. Umm...yeah, I don't think so especially considering the first name given is no where near my actual first name.
The funny thing (or perhaps not) about this though, is that I picked up a call last night (by accident) from the Church of Scientology looking to update their records. Again, I don't play this game so no personal information was given.
But it leads me to think that these may be associated with each other. Hey, if they want to leave nasty messages on my answering machine, then they can go right ahead. It takes two to tango and I don't feel like dancing ;)

That I must return their call or face consequences. They won't calling to collect for debt. not owed.
