    I received a phone call from a poorly spoken english woman stating that my microsoft account had a virus and she needed to guide me through steps to remove it.  She then asked me to turn on my computer and I told her no that I don't know her nor trust her to gain control of my computer.   I asked her for her name and number which she gave me Amy Jones 888-246-9969 and said to call her back so she could assist me.  Ughh

    The guy who called me claimed they provided service because my updates to Microsoft Windows weren't working.  Is this a scam to hack into my computer?

    1-888-246-9969, Chris an Indian sounding voice saying that my computer had a virus or malicious software and he needed to help me fix it. I entered the number in Google and found this site, with similar complains.
