- Melly| 1 replyThis came thru as "unavailable" on my house phone. I looked it up and saw it was also Amazon/Chase, which I do have. I called them to ask if they needed something -the number on the card or customer service on their site) and she said NO it wasn't them but this number is being spoofed. easy enough but it upsets me that someone knows I DO have this card, and my home phone.

- Janice BlackThis phone number shows "Chase" on Caller ID. The company is NOT Chase or any of its partners. It is a debt-reduction scam and the company/organization refuses to give its real name when I ask. The automatic message says "your interest rate will go down if you call within XX hours".

- tattletaleThis is the lower your credit card rate scam. They claim this is my last chance (I wish) to lower my rate and to press "1" to connect to an agent or "2" to be removed from their list. In the past I've pressed "2" but all it does is immediately disconnect and doesn't stop future calls. I pressed "1" and spoke to a live agent. This man with an Indian accent claimed he could not give me the last 4 digits of my card because of privacy concerns. I pointed out that as it was my card, I was granting him permission. He refused. I next asked to speak to his supervisor. He claimed that he would not connect me to his supervisor unless I gave him my card information. When I asked once more for the last 4 of the card he was calling about, he disconnected.
This is a scam designed to obtain your credit card information, probably leading to unauthorized charges or other nefarious activities. Give them no information! There was no mention of Chase even though that's what my caller ID indicated. The number was spoofed. I'm on the DNC list which is ineffective when dealing with foreign scammers who live outside the reach of our law enforcement.- Caller: fake "CHASE"
