Mrs Thompson left message "to avoid further action" gave case number then ended it with "good luck".

Over several weeks, I got a few phone calls from a private number, with no voicemail message ever being left. Then recently, I did get another call from a private number (don't know if it was the same private number, because the number was private), but this call left a voicemail message.

The message said they were looking for a Helen Swanson, here is a case number, and said calling back to 888–249–0192 needs to be done right away or there could be consequences.

I called the number, told them there was no Helen Swanson associated with my phone, and after some minutes of discussion, the man on the end of the line said he'll try to stop the police from coming to my address. I also told them to stop calling me and straighten out their mess.

My brothers and sisters think it's just a scam to try to intimidate people and get their vital information, although I was never asked for any of this information. Plus, for both (a) the female person who left the original voicemail, as well as (b) the male person who answered my 888–249–0192 return call, was pretty serious and legal-sounding in tone and manner. But still kind of spooky talking about stopping the police from coming to my address. And I'll have to wait and see if they take my number off their call list.

I had the same experience as Dave did in the above report. A man with a deep, serious-sounding voice named Jeff Davis called and left a message stating that "I'm calling to follow up on a complaint received in our office for a Glenn Fishman. To discuss the matter further Glenn will need to contact the department and on the file at phone number 888-249-0192 referencing case 215-00962. Contact does need to be made immediately to avoid further action to Glenn by the end of the business day today."

I received the same message as reported my Noell on March 12 2018.  "I'm calling to follow up on a complaint received in our office for a Carlos XXXXX. To discuss the matter further Carlos will need to contact the department and on the file at phone number 888-249-0192 referencing case 235589. Contact does need to be made immediately to avoid further action to Glenn by the end of the business day today."
