Says it’s applecare but it’s a scam.

I got a call and the number that showed on my phone 800 275 2273 is an apple support number. I Was told not to use my devices until I talked to an apple representative at 888 249 3689

Got a call from this number saying they were Apple support and to not use any of my apple devices for financial activity until I talk to a representative.  I don't have any apple devices.

Scam claiming to be Apple.

I got a message saying that my Apple devices may have been compromised and not to use them until I call this number back.  888-249-3689.  I didn't call the number, I googled it and found this website so I figured I'd add my experience to the list.

Twice today the apple support number has called and left the message to call the 888-249-3689 number.  Called Apple and its a scam.

Received the same call. Called Apple Care. First, it is a scam. Second, they are aware of this. Third, don't return the call or give out any information. This is not legit and they make it look like the call is from Apple's number but it is not.

But how does the scammer make money?

Just got a call from this number too saying that my phone has been hacked and not to use any apps that use my financial information. Figured I google it to see what everyone was saying

Just got it too, and my credit card was stolen this morning, glad I didn’t get coincidentally scammed!  Glad for this site

I got the same call from the same number.      They have called 2 days in a row now.

It’s the first call I received from Apple in 30 years. Apple doesn’t call. But they will send an email. It’s an obvious scam.
