they call almost every day and leave a voice message when
the answering message says do not leave a voice message
because the owner of this number is deaf and cannot
retrieve your message.

So annoying...... every single day, multiple calls.  This has been going on forever, on both phones.  Sometimes a robo message is left, asking that I return the call referencing a certain number.  Why isn't the "do not call" doing its job?

Receive calls from this number every day on my cell phone. It is some automated call and I can't stop getting these calls. Wish there was something I could do.

That number belongs to a collection agency, they didn't give me a name. The AT&T cell account that they had for me was paid, just noted wrong so my call only lasted a few minutes. The automated goes to a person if you press 1 and they'll give you the info from there.

ok so this number has left a few messages on my phone for a person whom I don't even know,I ingnored the first few,but just called them to let them know that this person did not live here and never has. They said well could have been her # before,I tell them no I've had this home phone # for 9yrs. so he looks up my # and says it's not even in their system nor linked to the person of reference, so as of now both ends are baffled wondering why in the world the calls are coming to my phone?? Oh and from what I gathered they are some kind of collection agency. Just hope they figure it out and stop calling me!

they call almost everyday, waking up me and my kids, about someone we don't know.  had this number for 1 year.  I've tried calling them back and talked to two different people and told them to STOP CALLING but they keep calling!  ahhhhh!!

called them at the number they left, and got some1, they said they are removing my number because i dont know the person they are trying to reach... they better have...

Btw, they have been calling every day, like 3 times or more, since about beginning of december...

Collection agencies are for-profit businesses and don't get toll-free phone numbers (888 is toll-free).  Beware this outfit, or whoever is using and misusing this phone number.  I heard a similar story from someone saying that they were getting debt collection calls from 888-258-5840 for credit cards they never had.  Their story, and yours, makes it sound like someone is using this number to try to get people to give them their financial information.

A couple came to my office for advice on how to deal with aggressive phone calls they've been getting every day from this phone number.  The callers don't identify themselves and demand payment for vague "credit card debt".  The callers also refused to contact the couple by mail or to give their own mailing address.  Collections agencies generally don't get toll-free numbers.  Beware this possible scam, and DO NOT give out your financial information to them.  You have the right to be free from harassing phone calls and be contacted only by mail.

Someone has been calling my home on Saturdays, Sundays, and now are calling my work place on
Saturday. I have no idea who it is or why but if they call me again or at my workplace they will be reported. I don't know how they knew where I worked.
