They claim to be a courier service with the "county" and are very vague.  They gave my address and said I needed to set up a time for document delivery and my signature.  Not likely!  They always call from an unidentified number but leave 888-286-0963 and a "file number" to call them back.

They leave 888-286-0963 with a file number and would not give me the companies name when asked and instead tell me they're an answering service and want my address, phone number etc. They are definitely a debt Collector!

They've been at this on 2 separate occasions now.  This time last year and now last week.  Same verbiage as above, giving me "property on ** street" and documents to sign.  1) I've no debt that's not normal debt.  2) they're calling the homeowner's kids, with whom i have no connection.  Last year they called and threatened my brother.  Bottom line, ask them questions.  Give them no information but ask them the company name, address, etc.  They'll hang up.  It's a scam.  If they tell you, "if you don't respond within 24 hours, we'll submit your address as verified and papers will go there".  They can't serve you without your signature.  I've actually heard (on another site) them asking for several thousands of dollars to "go away".  Sounds like a bribe to me.  So if they're saying they'e only a messaging service, they wouldn't have the ability to take money from you.  They prey on people who aren't strong enough to tell them to back off.  Unfortunately most people would just pay them to go away.  BUT THEY WON'T.  Research "zombie collectors" as this is what I believe they are.  If you've had any activity on your credit, or you're simply trying to fix it, that activity is "bringing your old, non existent debts back to life", not unlike zombies.  As [***] as collection agencies can be, this isn't one.  Stand your ground, don't give out any information and ask questions.  Since it comes from a "NO CALLER ID" number and this 888 # isn't listed with any information on it, it'll be difficult to get them to actually cease and desist.  But it shouldn't stop you from telling them to stop calling you.  Protect yourselves from these scammers.  I wish them all a slow and painful death.

"Private" number has called my landlord, my elderly mother and my brother all saying they are looking for me with papers to serve.  The lady, Jennifer Rameriz, told them to give me the message to call 8885-286-0963 and gave them a case  number as they are trying to serve me papers.  I have no unpaid creditors.  They have my home and work address and state a letter has been sent to me.  I have received nothing from anyone about a debt collection of any kind.  I have seen this number referenced to Verizon.  I have never had an account with Verizon.  Also referenced to the IRS.  All taxes are current  With all of the hacking and identity theft going on, I refuse to return the call and legitimize my identity with whoever this is.

Scam debt collectors. They reference a real debt, but are not affiliated with your debt. Meaning, if you pay them, the money doesn't go toward your debt. They keep it and you lose.
