- Judy| 2 repliesI got a call today saying I won the second place in PCH 650,000 said his name was Micheal Owens his # 516-833-3593 .My prize will be coming tomorrow between 10 and 2.Did I want it private or public like the news.He asked me if I need help in handling my money,I told him my brother-in-law was a lawyer and could help me with ,so he didn't stay on phone very long after that.
- Angie| 1 replyCalled me from this number also. Mr. Muller said the very same thing to me. I told him I was with Life Lock and I was not giving out personal info. He said ok, and that I was still going to get my 650,000 Monday between 10-2pm. What a shame! Thank goodness more every day people are paying attention to what is going on around them, making it harder for these scammers to take advantage of one less person. Also, good for you Judy!

- anonymous replies to janiceIt's a scammer who hopes to get money from you. At some point, they will ask you to send them cash (perhaps in exchange for a fake cashiers check) or ask you for your credit/debit card info. Don't fall for it.
- anonymous replies to AngieTHIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, loan, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, tax reduction, gift card, refund, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number, or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. If they want you to call them up for instructions, they may tell you not to discuss the wire with Western Union desk clerks but the real reason is WU clerks are familiar with these scams and will warn you not to wire the money. Report to US Postal Service Inspectors https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/MailFraudComplaint.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

He should have a visit from the DFW FBI office this afternoon with regards to his participation in this check scam. Need to verify this? Just call the DFW Customs office. After activation they proceeded to say that she won funds in excess of $350,000. Nothing in life is free, so I asked them what did she need to do. They said absolutely nothing, they would send her the funds. I told my grandmother I thought this was a scam and not to give them any personal or bank account information.
