"Alex" called. Said I had tons of viruses and people were trying to access my computer. Said he worked for Microsoft and assured me he could fix everything for a two year service plan at $300, four year at $500 or $700 for a lifetime.

Accessed my computer and started viewing my personal files. I disconnected the call when I started to feel uncomfortable with what he was doing. He provided no explanation and became surely when I questioned him.

There is now a block on my browser, preventing me from accessing the web. It shows this number listed and indicates I must call to have it removed. Called a local known IT technician and he told me this is a well known scam designed for identity theft. Local tech was able to fix the problem and removed several backdoor access programs from my system.
