Received two brochures in the mail that try to look like official government or bank forms complete with the 3 sides tear away like a W-2 or check. It says "BUSINESS MAIL - PENALTY FOR TAMPERING" and has my mortgage company on the front. The zip code says presorted from 95402 which is Santa Rosa, CA. Inside is a claims ID #. Both papers had different claim #'s. The callback is 888-296-2272 and the other had 877-833-4918.

I was hung up on 5 times when I asked to be removed from the mailing list. At one point, I got the same telemarketer and he accused me of calling in too many times. Just before I had interrupted him, he was pretending to be a representative of my bank! I told him that if he wouldn't hang up on me, then I wouldnt have to call back and I told him to take me off his mailing lists. He said it was done before I got it out of my mouth which made me think he was just bluffing that my request was honored. He started getting belligerent with me when I said that I didnt appreciate getting their junk mail and he responded "well that's your opinion". I told him that I would be referring the mail to WA state attorney general for harassment and false pretenses.
