update... per my phone company I had to call and cancel, after a 20 minute wait, I got someone who told me they are only a collection agency for another company OST and also that this was a "collect" call.. we do not accept collect calls to begin with and since I answer all calls, I know that I did not accept nor did I even receive a collect call.. now to call OST to see what they say...

My dad got charged $30.00 because they said i called and aseked for a service that i have never even heard of.

I got charged $10 for a collect call to my line that just has an answering machine hooked up. I mainly use the line for internet. Havent installed a phone because I mainly use my mobile phone. Anyways, I called The Billing Resource who transfered me to OSP Communications. After being on hold for about 5 minutes, I let them know the issue and they claimed it was a "billing error" which they "charged an incorrect account". What a load of BS. They said they would refund my $10 through my phone company and block any future collect calls from their company. Lets see if these f'ing crooks keep their word.

Call ATT and they said outside companies can add charge to the phone bill without authorization (thanks to the Bush administration).

Indeed like the others, fraud charges on our bill; took 90 minutes of haggling with the scammer to remove; all the while, the scammers kept trying to sell us long distance service

On my phone bill got this number 480-413-9071. This call came for Arizona. I got billed $20.20. The Comany charging me is this place called OSP 888-296-8079. No one in my house remembers talking to anyone. Its a scam you call the 888" number and it just rings. Called Earlier and just like the rest, was put on hold for a long time. Finally got this taken off. If anyone is intrested you can put your phone number on the Goverments "DO NOT CALL LIST". Its good for up to five years. I think the number is 888-382-1222. Recieved a call from 888-296-8079. Charged my local only service $15.74. What is going on here? Sounds like a lucrative business to be in.

I too received a charge form this number.  I don't have a phone or answering machine hooked up as I use this line for internet only.  Impossible for me to receive this call.  Yet I was chaged $15+ on my bill.   I called the phone company to dispute the call.  Nothing but hassles!

Got a $21.05 bill on my telephone bill this month.  Called they left message they are only open certain times to leave number and someone would get back to you.  I am still waiting

told phone company to block any further 3rd party charges from account. 888 296 8079 sends you to "customer service" which then gave me a fast busy signal......shouldnt making fraudulent charges to a phone number without authorization be a federal offense since it would fall under fcc regulations? the so called "supervisor nelson" claims that it was a collect call that was billed to our number we know no one in az gave no answers

Received a bill for $20.97 Call 1-800-296-8079 , Talent and More, Inc.,1-888-567-1337,in April. Naturally At&t is not responsible. That is what they said!  Called the number and talked to a "Chrystal", and the charge was to be stopped and credit issued.
Received my may bill, no credit and another charge.
How dishonest is AT&T.  They certainly would not put a charge on "their" bill, unless they received some compensation.
Everyone that receives charges should call AT&T, 1-800-288-2020 and demand some answers and then start looking for a honest carrier, that will not allow third party billing.

I also received charges on my AT&T Bill from The Billing Resource, (1-888-296-8079), which were unauthorized.  My bill stated it was from The Billing Resource for PREMIUM VOICE MAIL, INC-V/M SET UP FEE for a charge of $15.74.  Until then, I had never heard of them.  Upon calling them, they confirmed that the charge didn't originate from me, but from a different address and person who may have requested coupons online and failed to read the small print when they used MY phone number regarding these "coupons".  They said that they canceled the service and gave me a cancellation number but not before trying to offer me a cheaper package. (For something I never ordered??  Please, I don't think so...)  They also said that I would be billed the following month as well, but would also receive two credits on this bill to bring the balance to zero.  I notified AT&T the same day of these cramming fees, ordered 3rd party blocking, and received an order number for that.  The following month, I did not receive any kind of credit from The Billing Resource.  But I did receive an additional charge of $13.22.

I have now contacted and made complaints with The Attorney General's office in my state, the Public Utility Commission, and the FTC.

GOT A CHARGE OF 29.95 ON PHONE BILL.  WHEN I CALLED THEY SAID THAT MY HUSBAND (WHO NEVER ANSWERS THE PHONE & WHO'S WORK LOG SHOWS HE WAS NOT EVEN HOME) AUTHORIZED "INTERNET DIRECTORY SERVICE" BUT WHEN THEY GAVE THE BILLING ADDRESS- IT WAS FOR A STREET ADDRESS NOT A P.O. BOX-SEE THE IRONY HERE IS THAT WE ARE ON A RURAL ROUTE WITH NO HOME DELIVERY!!!!!  "BOB" AT ATT SAID TO TAKE THE CHARGE OF MY BILL AND THAT IT WOULD BE PLACED IN "PENDING" SO WHO KNOWS- LOOKS OVER YOUR BILLS VERY CAREFULLY!

Also received charge on May phone bill for $19.95 + tax = $21.07 from The Billing Resource 1-800-296-8079 for Talent and More, LLC Monthly Service Fee 1-888-567-1337. Called the billing resource, they said service was requested via online sweepstakes entered by my daughter who moved away 9 years ago. My daughter said she doesn't participate in online sweepstakes... was told that the charge would be stopped and credit issued. Received confirmation number. I used to let ATT auto debit my account for the bill but turned this off when first bill came and only paid amount due ATT. Received my June bill, no credit and another charge plus past due charges. Called ATT, very nice helpful person removed past due, removed current charge and put on a past due credit notice for three months. Also activated third party blocking. Still a hassle! Left message on The Billing Resource machine - we'll see if they return the call.

I was also scammed this past summer while I had already been in Colorado for 2months. I put my phone on vacation and lock up my house, and internet not used.  I was charged a fee that didnt include my vacation rate.  I called billing resource and was told I had applied on the internetNONONO.  I was impressed what they told me that I would have my own 800 number and could call from any where in the USA any number unlimited time.  Boy was I a DUMMY I called the 1-888-2968079 four times and talked to a person you could hardly understand and they said it was legit so I accepted what they said.  I now know it was a scam as I tried to use the 800 number and I couldn't so here I go again.  Then the person with that number that you can't understand said she would take off she the kept saying hello and I kept saying hello so that  was that.  I called at&t and they are blocking my number and giving credit on my phone bill for three months I paid.  We shall see.  Please report all scams.  It is scary to use your internet and know they can get your number or any information they want to.   Just watch your phone bill or any other.  What is our Country coming to to have these people that can't even talk english and scam you, what a job that must be.
