I received a call at work today from this number and there was an automated message telling me that I was going to receive a summons in 24 hours to appear in court. It also said to call the number to see who the filer was. I did not call back. I do not have any debt or owe on any past bills.

I called and they did have my court summons.
If you don't owe anything maybe it was a wrong number. I am glad I called back I almost missed my court appearance!!

So now you can give us the court  information. .you know  -- which court, etc.  That is public record  so there is no reason to ignore the request UNLESS   we have a SHILL ALERT. You also can tell us what company filed the complaint, that being a public record  too.

I guess you do not know how a summons is delivered!

It is a total BS phone call, a court summons is not delivered over the phone. It must be delivered in person, and this is a scam to get you to pay something you probably don't owe for, or something they looked up on your credit record and they are posing as the legal collection agency in charge of collecting your debt. They will tell you that you can avoid going to court if you settle the amount with them....don't do it! If you really do have to appear in court, someone will serve you in person.

A court summons can be delivered by certified, return receipt mail also.  They key part is that it must be delivered and the recipient must sign for it or be served by a court authorized server.

"I am glad I called back I almost missed my court appearance"  How could they have had a hearing without your being properly served?  Sorry but you have failed shilling terribly.

You're never warned in advance of a summons, they just show up. And you're never given the opportunity to pay your way out of a summons either, which is what these scammers will tell you if you call.

I received the same automated message today - they state "an agent from Due Process Services" is calling. I did a quick search and looks like this number has been circulating in the last few weeks. I think that if this actually belonged to a legit company it would come up in the phone number search. The only company by that name that I found was in NJ and FL, but neither one with an actual website.

Just curious as to whether you got served? I got the same call today.

This number has been calling for months leaving the same message on my phone.No summons was ever served to me. when u call the no back they are very vague and admit they are not a legal office.or collection agency. I have no collectind on my report .has to be a scam .I have reported them as harassing me.

i called and got an answering machine, it says Lockhart Brown and Associates
