They are sending me loan papers thru fax. said I could have 2yr loan at 7% interest. - ClaireYour very very welcome Janice. So for those of you still wondering... This is called an advance fee broker and when I looked that up on the internet, I found out that it is illegal for companies doing business in the US by phone to promise you a loan and ask you to pay for it before they deliver. It took me about 3 minutes googleing after my uncle had given me the business name to find information where other people had been taken advantage of. Need an example? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100513112924AAt8aiD
There is about 10 examples on there alone. You cannot... I repeat... you CANNOT get money back from Western Union once it has been collected by the party it has been sent to. And I promise you, they are waiting for your call and immediately going to get the money. You have no window to get it back. Western Union states straight on their website to not send money to someone that you do not personally know. here is the link to all the possible scams that have been found through Western Union.
http://www.westernunion.com/info/fraudscams.asp
I recommend the up-front payments section.
Basically - if you still want to take a chance on it after all of this information... then you cannot be helped. There are tons and tons of people all over online advising this company is a scam. It just takes about 5 minutes of researching to find out. I hope this helps anyone. I try and post as much information as I can for you.
Oh, and as I told someone else on another website... I understand they had a website. I understand they had telephone numbers with extentions. I understand they had company letter head and everything sounded and looked so professional. I work for a phone company and have done internet tech support. It takes someone knowing a small amount of information or with a good beginners book to create a website in about an hour. It takes someone a 20 minute conversation with the phone company to get a phone number with several extentions and forward them several times and give fake addresses to lose authorities on the REAL location of thieves. And it takes about 9 seconds to copy and paste a logo found on google into a word document, type some crap, and send it out. So keept that in mind- Caller: Boardwalk Capital Funding
- Sharon Davis| 4 repliesYes. I just lost $1103.00 to this scam. Jeff Nichols at ext. 367 and Craig Lucas at ext. 742. Better BusinessBureau and the internet had nothing on the weekend of the 7th when I googled them and and tried to get more info. After they got my money, Craig called and said my credit report had some discrepancies on it and their insurer needed 4 more payments. They base your payments on your income because they wanted $255. a month from me for a 5000. loan and 225 from two others for the same loan. Then they try to double it for your next installment. They say they are sending it back at the end of the month if you try to cancel it. I am sure they will not. They are based in Mississippi and the BBB says to call the Ms. Attorney General's Office at 601-359--3680 and the MS Dept of Banking and Finance at 601-359-1031. If you have sent any money call your local law enforcement. Jackson Ms is where they are located and the address is 200 S Lamar St Jackson MS 39201. Read the Yahoo posts and see what happened to others. All the BBB had was after the 10th of May. Too late for me
