Sounds like junk. They left a message: "it seems to be someone is trying to hijack your computer ..."

Junk robo call says it's from Microsoft.  All to get people riled up and in a panic.  Block number on my iphone and reported.

Just got robo-call on my cell phone. "Someone is trying to hijack your computer...and your personal information may have got compromised..." Mentions user running a Windows PC but never specifically mentioned Microsoft...call 888-323-0479...

Why can't that phone number be blocked so no-one can call them back, at least until they start using a new number...?

I never answer 800, 866, 888 etc #'s, nor name unavailable, not assigned or unknown to me personally.  This # left a VM.  Having worked in the Annoyance Call Bureau of a corporate phone company, any call that says your computer has been compromised, you owe money to utility co, IRS etc. and if not paid a warrant will be issued are all scare tactics.  NEVER give them any information, do not believe them.  Any question about validity hang up and personally call the company they said they represent.  Do not ever call a number they give you to make payment before further action.  If they tell you only can be paid with prepaid cards, Western Union or other payment agencies, DO NOT DO IT !!!   Be careful as the caller reads from a script that sounds official.

Received a call from this telephone number. Heard a robotic voice speaking while my system's auto attendant was processing the call. It was a call from the infamous bogus Microsoft Support. No callback was attempted.

Had a call from this number, same thing, microsoft...someone trying to highjack your computer call us immediately

CID said Toll Free Caller, but the message left was the scam about someone trying to hack the Windows operating system on the home computer and to push #1 on the keypad to speak to their security team. After laughing my butt off at these cretin's I blocked this number.
