Received a phone call from a woman claiming to be a process server stating she had a court summons to serve on me for felony charges.  She told me to call a company by the name of "Huntington" at 1-888-323-4465 and told me that if I didn't call today that she would serve me at the address she had listed for me and I would be arrested for felony charges and indicted.  This is a scare tactic that debt collectors use to scare you, and it is unlawful.

I just recieved a phone call to , she had my bank info and said i had a judgement against me ?? that i was going to be serve if i didnt pay ?

i to received a call just like that , the lay said i would have a judgement against me in court if i didnt pay this, $877.00, i told her i never took a loan out, so i didnt want to pay , she then told me well good luck in court! And hung up on me ...

They called me too...at work.

The man, he said his name was Mike and that he was a Process Server.  I asked, you are who and what?  He said that I failed to appear in court and that he was on his way with an "escort" to have me served and he would be at my job in 30 minutes.  (Scare tactic)

Well, I did not miss any court date so I said, "okay, call me when you get here and I will come out and meet you".

He hesitated and said, "No you don't understand, you need to come with us for about an hour and a half.  (scare tactic)

So, I of course wanted to play along..."Go where?"

He stuttered a bit and said, "You missed your court date so you need to come with us."

Ugh...my message got cut off..

I asked him, "Are you a Police Officer, do you have a warrant for me."

He said,"no"

So I said, "In that case, I will not be going anywhere with you, and when you arrive I will have security meet you with me."

He became hostile, "Look lady, I dont' care if you get served or not, but I will be there soon.  So who do I ask for?"

I sweetly responded, "You said you have legal documentation to serve me, so my name is there.  See you soon."

No surprise he never came.  There is nothing on me at my local courthouse.  So this company is a scam.

This person called and claimed they were calling my husbands employer and needed his port of call for process service.  And said you have been notified if anyone has anymore information on these idiots please share they need to stop calling and trying to intimidate people.

I had a totally insane screaming woman on my voice voice mail telling me I have one opportunity to make this right. She was a psycho. I have never done anything illegal and she acted like I was a criminal. I left them a nasty message in return and will call them again in the morning. I love the fact that I am in the process of filing bankruptcy and can throw it in their face.

Called my job asking for personel information saying they were on there way to arrest me with an armed escort for some felony charge like they were trying to embarasse me and get me fired. I have no cases or no judgements against me. Some collector making horrible threats and scare tatics.

Collection agency that makes horrible threats and gets away with it; so call them back at 409-422-7079 and tell them what you think of them and thier tatics.

a guy by the name of mark levey called serveral friends and family members threatening messages about me and a payday loan even told one friend he had a warrant for my arrest. called from 919-213-8475. i called huntington at 888-323-4465 they wouldnt give any info about the guy said he was a processor of some sort.

Guy by the name of Michael Marin called my office. Said he was trying to get my supervisor on the phone so he could inform my supervisor that I was going to be served. He said he was coming to get me. Ummm...wrong number but wow, these debt collectors are ridiculous!

Well, it appears that they use "spoofing", which makes it look like they are calling from a local number, so maybe you would believe them that they are in your area and coming for you.

Call the numbers.  It is all the SAME EXACT message..."You have reached the Investigative Services" blah blah blah.

Called job, cell, and family and told them if I didn't call them back they would serve me at work

These people are really starting to get to me.  They call me and my family every other day threating me and my family.  What can we do, this is really out of control?  I feel horrible for my brothers and my mother they are harrassing them as well.  Called FTC filed many of complaints, local police dept. they said they can not do anything because I dont have a address for them and they are not local even though they are using local numbers.  This is just horrible, I feel like I am living in fear.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

This number called with a crazy lady yelling in my voicemail. Finally a different guy call with the name of Paul Berngstein. He said there was a claim against me and this was my only notice before he was going to come get me at my residence. So I called the number back to complain bc I have nothing against me and the guy who answered even said that it was illegal for someone to say they could "come get me". So it's a scam. I have never received anything in the mail. They had my social and address but still haven't received anything in the mail. Only annoying voicemails. And they leave messages for my husband too.

So Investigator McMillian just called my job when I told him I was helping a customer and I asked for his number to call him back...he hesitated.  After he gave me the number I asked if I called the local police station would they be able to provide me with information about him and the "so-called" case.  He shouted NO THEY WOULDN'T!!! Then he said "I see where this is going" and started threatening me.  I hung up, he called right back and asked for the corporate office phoen number.  My associate put him on hold for about 10 minutes.  He finally hung up.. Then 15 minutes later the phone was ringing again...he told another associate that he had already contact the corporate office.  

This is my point...since when do the police call you to tell you they are coming to arrest you. Also, why are they contacting the corporate office if they have a warrant for my arrest.  And why in Gods name are they using a toll free number if he is working with the local authorities.  And Lastly, the police can get your updated address from DMV...why are you calling to verify my address (where I haven't lived in 6 years)

I have b een getting the same threatening phones calls on my cell and at work. They even leave messages on my public work phone! and call my 80 yr old Mother! It is ridiculous! My brother is a lawyer, I'm going to have him returnthe call!

Received two phone calls yesterday, one at work and one on my cell.  Received another two today at work and cell.  They had stopped once I filed complaints with the attorney general in the states of the old numbers they were calling from.  I also listed my cell on the do not call registry for certain 800 numbers.
