Received a call from this number, the woman said she needed to verify what kind of copier we had to update their records.  I gave her the name of one of our copiers, and then she put me on hold and her manager came on the line.
The man told me that we had ordered toner for the model (the one I told the woman we had) before a price increase, so if I wanted to add more toner to that for the same price I could.
I told him that I didn't recall ordering any cartridges from him, and I would have to look into it and call him back.

Rude man named Jim Nelson with Direct Distribution, trying to send me our "new catalogs".  Asked for numbers off of the copier, and when I told him I wasn't authorized to give that to him, he asked for someone who is. I told him that is me, and I'm not giving him the number. He proceeded to be rude, so I got his phone number and told him I would "look into it and call him back". hahaha yeah right.

Received a call from Jim Nelson at Direct Distribution.  Wanted our copier brand & model# so that he could send us out an udpated service manual.  When I advised we didn't give that number out because of scam calls he said (very nastily) "Those are for toner - this is for your service manual."  When I continued to put him off he again got very nasty and made some crack about how I was "making this more difficult than it has to be".  When I pointed out that if they were supposed to be supplying us with a manual he should at least be able to tell me the brand of the copier involved - he said "there are so many out there - can you just get me the info?"  He was very persistant and even called back after we had disconnected the call.

Linda Grey from Direct Distribution called to tell me that our toner order was being shipped. I told her I wasn't aware of ordering any toner. Then I asked her who this company was, she said they are the distibution center where our toner is delivered from and billed to. When I told her I wasn't aware of this and that we didn't order any toner she hung up on me.

Does anyone know if this so-called company is the same as IDC Servco. We received a  call about two weeks ago from Direct Distribution saying the pricing was going up on our toner and someone else in our office unknownly placed an order for two toner cartridges at 3 x's the actual price. We are returing the merchandise as soon as it comes in. We have also had the same issue with IDC Servco.

Linda Grey / Linda Gray called our company twice.  Once she said she was from United Distributions and then she said she was from Direct Distribution.  We of course are aware of her SCAM because she has called in the past, so we routed the phone calls to people who were using accents in an attempt to waste as much of her time as possible.

How does she live with herself?

Funny thing i just called the 2 numbers they call from and left a message saying that I'd like someone to do that to their mother or grandmother and actually get money from them then they might actually get a clue how rithless they are.
I called both numbers backl 1 hour later since i have them written down to call every once in a while just to leave them a rude voicemail , now both Number are disconnected !
Good, now they need to use new #'s

Well Linda and her company are still up to no good!  But luckily we already knew about them and cut them off before we got scammed.  She was rude and hung up on us.

The caller was EXTREMELY rude and called requesting the address to send a manual for our copier.  When I repeatedly politely refused she said "shut up b*(insert profanity)" and hung up.

I did not realize this was a scam until after I hung up because I was in the middle of doing ten other things.  I made the mistake of giving the woman my copier number and my name and she already knew my company's address.  Now I'm worried they will send us a bill. Does anyone have any advice as to what to do when I'm inevitably sent these scam materials? Or a phone number so I might call them and do what...I feel like they'll send me this crap even if I tell them not to. Any suggestion is appreciated!

haha I cannot believe this scam is still going (not laughing at anyone other than these scammers)! The toner phoners and copier scammers are lowest of the low. These are the type of people who would steal from their own grandmother and sleep soundly at night! Anyway yeah they call quite a bit. We actually love when they call because we can have some real fun with these callers. We have a whole script ready for them just like they have one for us!. It's like a short acting/comedy gig at their expense. Sometimes I get upset because I didn't string them along long enough haha! Don't get mad - get creative, make stuff up and get even. Get as much info out of them by playing dumb then flip it on 'em, then provide their number to "other" telemarketer scammers - I am sure they all own copiers LOL. Give them fake numbers, and foreign machine names or tell them the machine was stolen and they will have to call corporate/ main office (but give them the attorney generals number for your state) LOL. There are many other ways to have them taste their own medicine but, I cannot spill it here. Anyway NEVER EVER GIVE THEM INFO THAT IS ACTUALLY TRUE! If you ever get an invoice or any products just refuse them on delivery, report it to the attorney general of your state, make a police report if you have to but NEVER pay them - they will never go away if they know you are a target. They see you as a mark and they do this for a living - do not be naïve, it is 2018 and there are some people who will do anything for a buck. Its sad but its true. Be careful people :-)
