- Harassed| 1 replyI've been called THREE TIMES by the alleged publishing firm (alternately Stratton Press Publishing and Stratton Press LLC) over the course of the past couple of months concerning a book they claim I'd submitted to them, which they NEVER mention by name. The most recent time (10:29 A.M. CST February 7, 2018), the caller left me a voice message asking me to call him back at a telephone number that was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from the one provided here to talk about "[my] book," which he again failed to cite by title. Even recently, upon trying to find out more about this company, I've come across a couple of different links, one to their main website and one to the portion of their site that contains all their contact info, and clicking on BOTH initiated a pop-up demanding my name and password info that prompted me to give them the whole "Control-Alt-Delete" treatment. Really suspicious...and that's not even mentioning the fact that my Caller ID had read "Toll Free Call" when these people dialed me up this third time.
The thing is, too, that I've never even HEARD of Stratton Press until recently, much less submitted anything to them for publication. How they even got a hold of my number, then, is beyond me. Needless to say, I'm staying as far away from Stratton as possible, and I encourage everyone reading this to do the same--especially if they continue demanding names and passwords from people visiting their website and harassing people with unsolicited phone calls regarding "[their] books."- Caller: "Toll Free Call" (Stratton Press Publishing/LLC)

- TrinaI am receiving calls from Stratton Press every week. Finally, they told me that I am writing a book, (unfortunately I wasn't averred of it). The lady became really confused when I asked her the name of the book I am suppose to write. It is definitely a scam because it is not the way the book is published, they just pull out of internet names of the people who have any relations with publications and start harassing them. SCAM

- Emma| 1 replyStratton Press is a publishing scam. They convince self-published authors to pay them to promote books, or publish hardcover editions, or whatever service they can get that author to pay for. They deliver little or nothing. I suspect they use lists from self-publishing outlets like Smashwords and Amazon to troll for victims. Ask them to take you off their list and never call you again. If they do anyway, tell them you recorded them promising not to call and you're sending it to the FCC, which will add it to the case they're building against these scammers. No, it's not true. But neither are the promises these jerks make to vulnerable authors every day.

- Cking AuthorSomeone called me from this number and said she was from NY and wanted to sell my book in her physical bookstore in Manhattan. I didn't catch her name because she spoke fast and with a strong Indian accent. Then she gave me a number to call that was different from the one that showed in the caller ID. She didn't name my book's title or her bookstore.
