Got a voicemail from an unprofessional telemarketer, said she was from Myron and had some type of promotion for us to review.  I did not call back.

I received a call from this company today.  They sell promotional products.  This is a legitimate company.  We received a beautiful leather wallet calendar with our store name on it.  The cost was very reasonable.  Would love to order from them if the economy ever gets better and we start making money again.

"Ray" from the Myron Corporation called and asked for our CEO by name.  Per her instructions, I asked for a phone number where he could be reached.  He asked when would be a good time to call back.  I told him he could call anytime, but I still need a call-back number for him.  He hung up.

Necita from Myron called asking for my CEO (as if he would take a cold call from a calendar/pen company).  I put her through to...myself since I am his personal assistant and questioned her further.  She was calling to see if he received the "elegant pocket calendar" she sent him.

I said, "I haven't seen anything like that."

She said, "I would have come in a white envelope."

I said, "Is this something he ordered?"  she said no so then I asked her, "Are you a solicitor?" of course knowing the entire time that she is...just trying to waste some of her time...she said, "Yes."

*click* was the last thing she heard.  So listen up, solicitors...this gatekeeper is PAID TO KEEP YOU OUT!  Stop asking for my CEO, he NEVER takes these [***] calls, you will NEVER get past me. EVER! And I will thoroughly enjoy wasting your time by leading you on, faking a bad connection, dropping the line on the point of giving you cc information...you won't get through [***], so bugger off!

I am truly sorry for the inconvenience Sir/Miss. I normally tell gatekeepers the reason for my call and even leave my phone number to be contacted at.
My job is to contact decision makers, people who are willing to be visionary and who strive to make their business increase by using this results proven marketing tools. That's the reason why the Promotional Product business makes $15 billion a year and has not lost much ground as the TV/Radio ads, Internet, Billboards, or any other sort of advertising in these past 4 years of turmoil. So I am truly sorry if you felt in any way offended by my phone call; I was just trying to be helpful in this uncertain economy.
I imagine that you are part of the Fortune 500 list because you must have thousands of people coming to your business without making one single phone call, advertising, or offering your services to the public. I would like to commend you for your highly efficient business plan.
Please note that I DO USE my full name since I have nothing to hide and I am proud of the service I provide.
But once again, I truly, deeply apologize for the psichological and economically  harm I've done to your secretary and yourself.

Spot on!!!  A telemarketer from Myron trying to sell merchandise with company info/logos on it.  Got my name and contact info from my electronic vendor information gathered by Virginia state government via their eVA program, which is a required participation venue if you contract with Virginia state government.  Thanks for protecting my info!!!  And people wonder if Big Brother is true...  Sheesh.

Seriously?  If you're so proud of the job you do, why does your company call and hang up?  Doesn't sound like anyone there is proud of the job they do.

this is a company with many names. they are freaking scammers trying to get your personal info. I get a call at work & when I say "no she's not in" they hang up & immediately call my cell phone, which I hit "ignore". They are from somewhere near Buffalo NY. They ahve another number as well... 716-462-5930...716-462-5932. Get several a day. They even call at home, after 10pm & before 8am on sundays!!! Totally sick of them. They get "crappy" with you when you tell them not to call any more. I was once told the "he feels sorry for me hiding ast home & running away from my debts" I told him to go "F" himself! and to never call any of the numbers he has listed, again! So far, "he" hasn't called me back, but I continue to get them on a DAILY basis!

Hey dont worry !! They are not scammers, they helped lift up my business just a couple of years ago, at the beginning I was skeptical about investing my money on some "pens" or "keychains", but I tried it, then I began to receive more calls (of course not inmediately) from NEW customers. I asked each of them how they found out about us. They replied repeatedly stating they saw a pen that had a flashlight, and after they left of coursed asked for a gift hahaha then I said to myself: "Hell Yeah!!! This really works.....!!!"  Don't be skeptical, be aware that its just their job, and they really help people.....
