- Joanne Pan| 2 repliesThis number called about a Fedex package that originated in Vietnam, and was voided by Fedex. They didn't provide any information other than a tracking number, so it's most likely a scam.

- Bird replies to Joanne Pan| 1 replyI also got a call from this number. They claimed to be FedEx and notified me of a package being at customs - which I did order.
The person only asked for my email address and said they would be emailing me something regarding the custom fees. Still haven’t gotten the email after 30 minutes. Not sure what to think so far but the order he mentioned was the exact item I ordered so I have reason to believe it’s legitimate. - SicGot a huge message about a fake tracking number from Fed Ex trade network. Needing info for a package. I never ordered anything but I called anyways. The goal is for them to send you a email to sign a TSCA form (used to ship chemicals overseas sometimes used for composite shelving ) but the link they send you is a PDF virus. This is just an extra step placed in a phishing scam

- ANOTHERFEDEXSCAMUNSUCCESSFUL| 1 replyLike the others i ordered shoes online they contacted me for customs forms i told them return to sender. Checked the tracking and theyre on their way to me still so i did some research on the email and number lead me to this page. Cant believe ii almost sent them my personal info! Gmail also red flagged his reply email to me after i told them to return the shipment with a big red box that said this email originated outside of fed ex and not to open any links

- GF| 4 repliesLegit FedEx Customs broker. Got a VM for an order I placed from a vendor in Europe. Customs forms were filled out ambiguously and wanted me to fill out a document and email it back. Called 1-800-GoFedex asked for customs department and they confirmed it was legit.
- Caller: FedEx
- Call type: Valid
- B-Edwards replies to GFSHILL ALERT!
So can you account for the 5 prior posts that convincingly say the calls are from scammers? Sure sounds like a phishing scam to me.
-- BTW, if you got a call and know it was "legit", why would you be looking up the number here? Or be posting about it? - MikeHuntleton replies to GF
Really? That number is just a phone menu. How did you manage to "get confirmation" from an automated system?Quote:Called 1-800-GoFedex asked for customs department and they confirmed it was legit.

- RG| 1 replyI received a call from this number claiming to be FedEx, calling from Fedex Trade Network, regarding a shipment from Japan being sent to the US (with tracking number), claiming to need a form filled out for the item to be pre-cleared for US Customs, stating the EPA required form 2877 must be filled out since the device contained a laser.
I called Fedex from the support number on their website (800-463-3339). The rep told me NO forms were required, and the shipment was on track.
The scam callers name was 'Deanna', and her voice almost sounded like a very good voice synthesizer, something just didn't sound natural about it, however the call volume was extremely quiet and hard to hear. The email she provided was a string of 7 numbers @fedex.com (3876319@fedex.com), which she wanted me to email to get the 'form'.
What is scary is they they know the device I was having shipped contained a laser.
This seems to be a pretty sophisticated scam- Caller: "FedEx"

- scott| 1 replyI received a voicemail from this number regarding a fedex package that required importers identification number which I was expecting. Before calling the 888 number back to release my SSN, I first googled the number and came across this page which scared the crap out of me. I then called the 1.800.GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339. number to validate that the 888 number was legitimate; the representative at fedex was aware that a representative from the 888 number named Alfred had in fact left me a voicemail. This number is legitimate.
- Tygerkat replies to scottI take it you've somehow never heard of phone number spoofing? Even if this is a legitimate FedEx office number doesn't mean all calls from it are from FedEx.
Personally I think you're a shill because why would FedEx want your SSN? - R. M.I answered in German. They had my name & asked if it was me? I replied “nein”. So, they hung up.
- MaggieTried to press me to fill out a Customs form with mySS# or my shipment from Europe would be sent back. Errors in the email and on the government Customs form sent up red flags
