Got a call on their behalf from 815-516-8767 which is for Verifax.

Said i owed a debt on two credit cards...one of which i refuse to pay period as it was a fraudulent account

we received a letter with this number attached indicating we owed a debt to MCM (Midland Credit Management and Midland Funding, LLC) with a mailing address of P O Box 603 Oaks, PA 19456 as they had recently taken over our current mortgage company and we had an accumulated debt owed.  we contacted our mortgage company and the letter & number are not valid.  DO NOT RESPOND - IT IS A SCAM!!!

Got a letter in the mail from MCM.  Alan Woods name is on the correspondence X53762.  Can't wait for them to call so that I can inform them that I do not have a job right now.  If they want to continue wasting postage, I will continue collecting them and placing them in the shredder.  I believe this is the same San Diego company that was almost sued in Michigan (settled out of court) for just under 1 million dollars.  The owner is Midland Funding LLC.

Got a letter in the mail from MCM.  Sandy Smith's name is on the correspondence X53601.  Found out that James Brandon Black is the CEO.  Their local number is (858) 560 2600.  They are located on 8875 Aero Drive Suite 200 San Diego CA 92123.  However, payments are sent to PO Box 60578 Los Angeles 90060-0578 (fishy).  These people are not accrediated by the BBB.  Make sure to google other lawsuits in other states that they do not have a license to do business.  If you get a call from these people, get names, business license numbers, supervisors names because they are crooked!  Are these the same people that I got a call all the way from New Delhi!  Don't be scammed!  The legitimate businesses are in the same boat with the crooks!  Send them to jail!  Educate yourself with the FDCPA and take back your good name!
