- Bill replies to RI have had dealings about phone calls with company/ business in the past - they are NOT to be trusted! They may be an honest business as far as "honest" applies to debt collectors - but the way they handle their calls rises questions. They use at least two names for the business ('Credit Card Services' and 'Card Services' that I know of), I traced a call from them back to Georgia where I found a dual listing for two businesses at the same address doing the same business - debit collection of old credit card debits. Neither business had a favorable report with the Better Business Bureau, both had numerous complaints against them, and they seemed to be run by the same person. Trying to ask them to drop you from their calling list does NOT work and you will be hung up on in the attempt to do so.
My advice is ignore the calls, and if possible block the number. - jdsBad, bad people, with real potty mouth. If they don't get your credit card information, they call you all kinds of F words and other demeaning words. Horrible people. Wanted to lower my interest rates. But when I refused to give them my information boy did the tables turn for the
worst. POTTY MOUTH. SHAME ON YOU.- Caller: 8883301460

- Hate RobocallsYet another is a seemingly endless list of these predators with some type of credit scam.
- TormentingTelemarketers replies to Buzz lightI've done the same thing. Google "fake name generator" and there's a web site that will create a complete "identity" for you with bogus name, address, credit card number, and anything else they may ask. Google "Citi Credit Card Support" (or any other major bank) and you can get the phone number typically found on the back of the credit card, since after chasing a bogus card they may ask that. I've had them run 2 or 3 fake numbers and show some rather obvious "disappointment" with me after spending 10-20-30 minutes.
They tell multiple lies throughout the conversation. That they are Visa/MasterCard (which are two different companies). Or they process all the billing statements for those companies (they each do their own). Or they are just confirming "profile" and are just "confirming" my information - but don't immediately balk at the false information given to them as incorrect.
So Bill (22 Nov 2016), if you see this - this is several reasons why this is NOT an honest business of any sort but a fraudulent scheme to get credit card information. - JBLeft no message
- DoNotCallRegistrantI received a call from "Card Member Services." I asked which company, and the man repeated, "Card Member Services." I said, "And where are you located?" And the reply was, "In your [***]." And an immediate hangup. Yes, that's actually what the lowlife said.
- Caller: "Card Member Services"
- Call type: Telemarketer
- DoNotCallRegistrant| 1 replyI see that this system filters/censors objectionable words. To clarify my post above, the caller responded to my "where are you located" question by saying "In your..." and the next word begins with a V and is found only on women. And again, yes, that's what he actually said.
- Yes replies to DoNotCallRegistrantThe system does filter those words. Did it ever occur to you that there might be a reason for that? Or was it really that important for you to add that little tidbit to your post?
- SteveCredit card reduction of rates. When u asked if they we're calling from India the person on the other end started swearing at me in the worst grammar. So that all the swear words make no sense
- MikeRobo called my cell phone about reducing credit card interest rates. I pressed 1 and spoke with an agent whose name I can't pronounce. He asked me what credit card I had. I asked multiple times what company he was with and he just said Account Services. He claimed to be calling from 400 South Ave, Orlando Florida. Definitely a scam.
