You’ll get a local call from a process server saying that you are about to be sued and to call this 888 number. They have the last four of your social and let you know that filing is imminent. Don’t confirm anything, don’t pay them. They state that they are with Mason Maxwell and Associates. They don’t exist and are not registered with the California Bar Association. You do not owe and if you were being sued, you would be served in person. They have had other phone numbers, which is why this scam doesn’t show up when you google it. Don’t bother with them!
