Received call from Nation Wide Courier stating would be delivery today for packet, in my daughter's name, between 3-4 that would need photo ID and signature. I called back as my daughter does not reside with me. Robert Wilcox answered and after giving supposed parcel numer, asked if I knew DS (my daughter ) so told him that was my daughter.  He then used my last name which I did not provide and said was not to be delivered here but her workplace. I was told her to call and reschedule. When I spike with her she said that person had called her at work and had wanted to reschedule but had requested her SS# which she refused to give and she tild his not to call her during work hours as her emploer did not allow this, he has called her at work three more times since then. Total scam. Do not talk with anyone at this number. Put on reject list if possible. She is reporting to FTC and Attorney General.

This Company also called my wife's work, and spoke with the Administrator.  They were polite at first, then became increasingly forceful when they were told that (my wife) would not be there between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm.  I called, and told them I was her husband, and I'd like to know what this was pertaining to.  They would not give me an answer, and also be came rather belligerent after me telling them not to call my wife's work anymore.  They are posing that they have a package that needs to be signed for, and it has a tracking number.  My daughter says that they are an attorneys office.  They are breaking the law, according to the FTC's guidelines. associates

Regardless of who they are, or what they're saying you owe, you can always contact whomever it is they say the represent to prove legitimacy, if it checks out, fine, if not, ignore or report them. simple. online bashing does not do anything except give ignorant people something to rant about, even if they know nothing, the read an article and miraculously they have the answer to everything. Do your own investigating, do let the fools "solve" your problems.

I am guessing you, by your reply, do not agree with the public sharing their experiences?  I personally appreciate knowing that a certain numbers are linked to SCAM artists that are attempting to garner my SSN, DL and other personal information for possible illicit use. Considering the current state of the world today, with fake passports among other things being generated by terrorists to enter our country I am quite surprised at your response.

I am sure that you are a hit and run shill, but why should anyone do what you say they should do when It is incumbent upon them to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it.  Not the other way around.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

This company has contacted, myself, my mother,  my job and my friend claiming to be from National Carrier and telling me that they have a parcel to deliver and that they will deliver to my work and my boss will need to be present at signing.  Our office does not alow personal phone calls or transactions at work so this has caused some confusion.   What are my rights?

I too got the same call with the same untrue information.  Exactly the same.  Has to be a scam i would think because if I owed someone money why wouldn't they just send me a bill or a letter or something?  Why lie to get me to call them?  Has anyone actually called them back?  Maybe I need to read further into the  comments.  Thank you all, though, because I probably would have called them back had I not read your comments here.

ID themselves as "DFS and Associates".   No idea where they are located.  Clearly some sort of debt scamming operation.  Ignore and block the calls.
