- SLJ| 3 repliesMy husband & I have been getting text messages on our phone that say the same thing, that there's an issue with our Wells Fargo card (we happen to have WF, so we started to freak, then I realized they don't have our cell phone numbers), but the phone numbers are not valid Wells Fargo branches, they are always different phone numbers, it's totally not legit, don't buy into it! I've reported it to the FBI, keeping a log so I can have the different phone numbers, & reporting it to Wells Fargo. Probably should report it to my cell phone provider, too..

- davephoneguy replies to SLJIf you have some spare time, you can call their toll free number and chew up their minutes. For toll free calls it costs around 2 cent/min every time they get a phone call. Its nice to know that I am costing the scammers money with very little effort
- po'd userI have been getting text messages from this person/persons for weeks now. "C a l l 8 8 8 3 8 1 7 6 7 1 (W.e.l.l.s Acount Atention Required)" Can they at least learn to spell?!? Never had a Wells Fargo account before in my life. Whoever this is definately is not doing any research or even collecting their info from anywhere. I AM on the DNC Registry (cell too), but getting the texts.

- OldWFcustomerI closed my Wells Fargo account a couple of months ago and then got a call from (714) 555-1212 informing me that my debit card's security had been compromised. The message was a recorded message prompting me to enter info about my card. I ignored it and then received a text message from my3@vtext.com that looked like this: "C a l l 8 8 8 3 8 1 7 6 7 1 (Wells)" I ignored this message as well. Having worked at Wells Fargo I saw the other side of these fraud attacks when customers (usually older) were the victims of schemes such as this one. Be careful out there.

- me tooWife and I arrive in las Vegas when we both (same time) get a text on our cells from m0@vtext.com STATING: 'call 888-381-7671 (info wells)' So as we both got the same text and at the same time and we were travailing we thought it had to be Wells Fargo. So the wife calls and recording says we have to update are card info do to possible fraud activity. Recording asks for her to key our debit numbers..we hang up call Wells Fargo who tells us all is well with all of our accounts to report it via online. so we try reporting and have to jump several downloads/hoop and quit trying. Wells Fargo should be on top of this stuff. So we email info@vtextsecurity.com and reportphish@wellsfargo.com
