This is the EIGHTH (!) telemarketing call today -- and it's just after lunch time. Almost half a day yet to go. I could scream.

When I answered the phone there were loud call center noises. An Asian sounding female said, “This is Amy. May I speak with the people who handle your merchant account?” I asked what company she was calling from and she said, “Merchant Brokers Group.” I told her she may not speak to anyone, and never to call here again, I was blocking this number.

According to that article, their website (http://merchantbrokersgroup.com/) states: "The company claims to be an independent organization that helps merchants find the best credit card processors for their businesses, but multiple merchant complaints have suggested that Merchant Brokers Group is actually a DBA of Axxess Payments (https://www.cardpaymentoptions.com/credit-card-processors/axxess-payments/) or Pivotal Payments (https://www.cardpaymentoptions.com/credit-car ... nts-and-rating/)." They also claim to be located in Chicago, IL but are actually in Canada.

The article also states, "Additionally, complaints found here (https://www.cardpaymentoptions.com/credit-car ... #comment-190919) and here (https://www.cardpaymentoptions.com/credit-car ... #comment-187813) explicitly state that Axxess Payments has rebranded itself as Merchant Brokers Group. Interesting to note, the only way to CONTACT this company is by FAX to 888-398-5943. No phone number is given on their website.

Caller asked to speak with the person who handles our merchant account.  After I asked, "To whom am I speaking," the caller hung up.

called from Merchant services wanting to speak to the owner

they call my cell phone, ask for owner, I told them I am driving. please text me instead. They hang up. no text.

Young asian girl asked how I was doing today and said she assumed she was talking to the business owner. I told her that I was the assistant manager and that the owner didn't work in my office. Then she asked to speak to the owner. DUH! I explained it again and she said she'd call back another time. I harshly said he would NOT be here then either and she said "OK , I'll try back later. I repeated myself yet again and she hung up.  Script reader for sure. Questionable grasp of the English language.

It took a moment for someone to answer back when I said hello, but a woman who spoke in a thick accent and went by the name "Kelly" said she was calling as an account manager for merchant services and needed to speak to the owner.

They keep calling and say "it's the first time I dial this number'

Start out by saying this is not a sales call (1st sign that it is) then tells me they are sending me a new credit card machine free of charge, I say I don't need one as I already have one, then he tells me once again he is not trying to get me to change merchant services company, I once again say I don't need a new machine.  Click on their end

This person or company called my home 4 times all before noon. They let it ring twice and then hang up. VERY annoying!!!!

Called two times nothing

lady called place of work and said heellloooo in the most annoying voice as if i wasn't paying attention or something.. she asked to speak with the owner which i told her the owner was busy (he really was).. she said that she'll just have to call back later.. as soon as i asked as to where she's calling from, she hung up.. if you really wanted to speak with them, you would stay on the line and speak with me.. can't get through him if you don't speak to me..

Telemarketers.  Scammers.  Lower than whale dung.

Some person from some type of "merchant group".  Hung up.  Hard to understand his English.
