On August 1, 2012, a representative named Michelle called saying she was with our lighting company, ICP, and they are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. In recognition of their customers they would like to send us a $100 Walmart gift card in appreciation. She asked for my name & address to send the gift card to, which I supplied, then asked me to call (888)389-3370 "just to verify that I'm an actual person & confirm that you want the gift card." I called and gave my name & number again & the other woman (didn't give her name) thanked me & said they would be sending the card in the next business day. On August 9, 2012 we received an invoice in the amount of $771.26 for 1 case of item described as "F34 T12 CWES" with no other product description except for "Service Guaranteed Lighting." This seemed very generic and odd so we investigated further with our purchasing team & finance controller. We have not received any lighting items nor a Walmart gift card nor did we ever indicate or approve a lighting order of any kind. They also have another phone number on their invoice (800)854-8952 which just goes to a voicemail. We believe this is a scam & that we narrowly avoided sending them money for a fraudulent bill.

We filed the above complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.  Hope they get these crooks!

same here they offer to five a gift card from walmart, it sounds weird to me so i didnt call to the 888 number, i google the number and it shows its a fraud! thank god i didnt call them back, hopefully i wont receive their fake invoice.

Had a similar experience with this number.  Woman's name was still Michelle and she still is touting their "30th anniversary".  A little odd, considering the first complaint mentions the same details and is from 2012.  At any rate, I called their 'verification' number at 1-888-389-3370 and told them that I wasn't going to fall victim to their scam and will refuse any shipment sent to me.  Completely fraudulent from the start.

I just got a call for the same thing, only she said they were just going to send a complementary sample of light bulbs. Didn't call the number back.

I just got a call from 760-253-5432 about the Walmart card. The telephone number looked odd, and I gave my information, like an idiot, but I didn't call the number like she had asked me to do. So I hope I don't get any invoices for junk from them.
