Appears to be a phishing attack, threating home and office visits

Caller just says documents will be issued. Call by end of day..something about home and office noted and gives reference number 11-60123 which sounds made-up.  Will not call this number back1

Carrier Services and Process Servers do not know what is contained in the documents they are paid to serve/deliver. Anyone explaining what they are delivering, saying "matter attached to your SSN", "you have officially been notified"  or offering an alternative "solution" to avoid delivery is a scammer. Real process servers don't need to set a time to deliver any documents nor do they threaten legal action if you don't call them.

The vague scare tactic message is designed to panic a victim into calling back.

Most debt collectors will use a certain amount of pressure to convince you to pay the debt. After all, they often don't get paid unless you pay. Be suspicious of a debt collector who uses an unusual amount of pressure to get you to pay immediately, particularly if they also use scare tactics to get you to pay right away. For example, a debt collector is scamming you if it :

• threatens you with a lawsuit and tells that you can avoid the lawsuit by paying right away
• Says a Process Server  or Courier is coming with papers to sign
• Threatens to call / go to your place of employment
• Insists you have been notified, served or are non-compliant via phone message(s)
• Refuses to give a company name or verifiable Contact source
• Refuses to send proof of debt via US mail

A sure sign of a debt collection scam is a collector that wants to you to pay via wire transfer or another method that can't be traced. If the payment method can't be traced, you'll have a harder time getting the authorities involved.

If the creditor sounds completely foreign, or you know you never had an account with that business, there's a chance it's a scam. Never pay a collection you don't recognize. You have the right to request written proof of the debt from the debt collector before you send payment.

Called and left voicemail that said:

My name is Sarah with PDS iMessage was recently left requesting a response from you to contact our client and you failed to do so if there's no response within 24 hours we have no option but to proceed forward without delay you can reach our client by calling 888-392-0563 in reference to file number

I received the same message from a Todd at PDS with the same case #11-60123. Km sure we all don’t have the same case #. I think these people are idiots and might think we are too!

Same voicemail wording as everyone has reported, same case number 11-60123. I've blocked them, but with Verizon, they can still leave a message.
Would like to know exactly what their scam is, but not curious enough to call.

I got the same exact message it was Todd with PDS I haven’t returned there’d calls and they are going to move forward if I don’t contact their client same case number

I received a call from “Angie” at PDS stating if I didn’t contact her by the end of the day documents would be filed. They must have changed the case number lol because mine is
02-60123 Lol! They also called from a local number but want me to call them back at 888-375-0563. I got curious and blocked my number and called the 888 number and a man answered “executive office” lol so I hung up. Complete scam!

You can't block your number when calling toll-free.

I received a call from an Angie at PDS saying my documents are prepared to be sent unless they hear from me by the end of the day and it gave that phone number and a document #.  I assumed this was a scam since they didn't state anything re: what the records were etc and I must have gotten on the "to be scammed" list, because this is like the 10th scam attempt in the last few months.
