Why even worry about it?
Obviously, they either did not say anything to you if you answered the call, or did not leave a message if you did not.  Either way, the call was not important, since they could not be bothered to communicate anything to you.  And it appears that they have not communicated anything to anyone else, since there are no other posts here about calls from this number.
Just block the number, ignore it and move on.  There are far more important things in life than wondering who an unwanted call came from.

This appears to be a scam. If you call they will ask banking info etc

Got the same E-mail.  Tried to get me to call 888 392 0765 This IS NOT amazon. Cant understand why these  people try to con you when they cant even speak ENGLISH very well.

I got this too.   The internet provider:  fastweb.it  is in Italy.  These are some crooks in Italy (or via this internet provider in Italy) trying to steal from people.
I get this type of email about once a month.  I wonder how they get our email addresses.

Just got the same email and called the phone number. The person that answered said that she was support and I asked for who and she said Amazon. I just hung up after that. SCAM all the way!!

Got a e mail sait it was Amazon . Said my 55 in smart TVs was being shipped to Georgia that I never ordered . I know it’s a scam . I called them got the heck of it . This guy I couldn’t even understand started asking me info . I hung up on him .

I received an email on March 3, 2021 about an Amazon tv purchase that I never made with the shipping address of 181 Mallery Street, Saint Simons Island, GA 31522 and to call 1-888-392-0765 if I had any questions. This is a scam. Still wondering how they got my email address.

My wife got same email, address is an Island Republic clothing shop. I'm gonna demand a refund. 😆

Well, nothing was charged, nothing was shipped so there is nothing that you can get a "refund" on.  However, what will happen is that when you call them to get this imaginary "refund" they will ask for your credit card information and access to your computer.  At that point you will have tons and tons of problems.  The "refund" will be the very least of your problems.

I got the same exact email.

I also received a fake email from “Amazon” confirming an order and providing this number. Did not call, and checked my Amazon account and see there is no such order and it was not compromised. Scam.

I received it too! I called the number, I asked "are you the scammer" he kept saying that they are the fraud alert department for Amazon. He has now flagged the order yada yada yada

he said things like my account has been hacked and fraud purchases using my details
he will cancel the order as it has foreign infection
he will send me troubleshooting steps
take care of network and do not have proper documents to be sent

I think he wants me to click on the links to obtain my informationt

I heard a million people in the background, he had foreign accent, and many people like his all talking to other on the ohone

Same scam. Was a fake confirmation email stating Amazon was shipping a computer to Delaware. Wasn't even from the email that my amazon account is associated with.

Just got this as well.  DELETE!!!!
