Just got a call about a legal papers .

They left a message on my phone.  Something about paperwork from the plaintiff they need to get to me.  Then some weird little speech that sounded like a warning that they were going to come to my work.  The person they were calling for is not me.  The last name of the person they were calling for is the same as by former last name which I haven't used in 25 years.  I did a quick google on my phone number and discovered that some of my former in-laws (old name) stilled linked to me.  Oh yeah and they can fun time me at work.  I'm retired.  Didn't call back but sounded like a scam.

Process servers do not collect debts for plaintiffs or get involved otherwise in resolving legal disputes. The nature of their job is the surprise visit, not setting appointments. Paying strangers on the phone to shoo away a server is not how real debts are collected by creditors. Rather, that is how extortion for invalid and phantom debt gets done.

CALLED ME SAID THEY HAD PAPERS FOR TO SERVE ME. And was gonna have 2 charges against me if I didn't setup payment around. It sounds like a scam to me
