    This phone number was in a letter I received (via USPS) from "The Department of Advocacy Services" and referencing the Department of Treasury Publication 4681, for the forgiveness of student loan debt.

    The bottom line is that, according to many (legitimate) debt-assistance sites, this is a SCAM.  You can search the Internet to find more information.  Some of the articles and comments I read go back to 2013.  So, no one has put these wranglers in jail yet, which is where they should be.

    Report them to your state's Attorney General's Office.
