Had a message from this person with an accent claiming he was an officer and that we needed to call back to settle something right away and we should have a lawyer available.  Called the number back and they answered it as the 'CRA'.  I told them it was a scam and the person starting freaking out on me, dropping F bombs, calling me names and I laughed and hung up.  Felt good.  Loser...

I just got the same phone call Five minutes ago saying the same stuff that i need to call them back right away and make sure i have a lawyer available. Also saying they are from the CRA .

I got a call from this number   as soon as they said they were c.r.a.  I hung up

I woke up to a call from this number. It was a pre-recorded message asking me to or my lawyer to contact the same number. When I called back, a different man (claiming to be an officer of law) explained that I had been audited by the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) and that there were charges of fraud against me. I took this seriously and started freaking out (sad, but true). Apparently, I have been deemed to be owing a few thousand dollars in taxes due to willfully submitting incorrect tax returns in 2009. I told him that I have received no documentation of such and that I was completely blindsided. He told me that the call was being recorded and that I had to make truthful statements. I've asked that those documents be sent to me. Only now do I think this is some kind of scam because they never confirmed my identity (via SIN, address, secret questions), he seemed to get turned off when I told him I have been unemployed for about a year (sucks to be me, or maybe not depending on your POV) and that there was a general lack of professionalism in his demeanor. I'm still rattled as I type this.
I checked the CRA website and found that they are aware of this and that if anyone calls from the CRA, your identity would be confirmed with data from the database when you call back. THIS IS SOME KIND OF SCAM!

I received a Call from this number,  he said he was calling from CRA crime investigation, he ask my name and said that i  did something wrong with my taxes. I told him you mentioned the word crime, this is a strong word for tax  purpose and even I haven't present my tax yet. Why you are call me from USA number, it does not make sense , give me your name and he hung up.

i'm getting same messages, also from the number 1-888-247-6024, and i'm tired of it. BTW i'm in Toronto, is this a local thing or is it international. just wondering.

Received two voice messages from this number. Same message. Man with Scottish accent advising me/or my attorney to not disregard his message or else penalty will be on me or something to that effect. I called back (blocking my number) and a man with Indian accent named "Mark Adams" said he was with CRA Sex Crimes unit. Didn't realize CRA was also involved with Sex Crimes, but okay... Too funny.

Just called back to this number and the idiot told me I was going to be arrested for fraud and was extremely rude to me.

Just received a call also and this "Officer Sean White" left the same message on my cell phone with the same story.  I have called the National do not call registry and made a complaint because this ass is saying he is the law and if you do not call back you will have problems with the law.  The lady I spoke to at the National do not call registry office told me that if this person calls again to call the registry office again to place another complaint because the more complaints they get the more they will be able to go after this person that claims to be an officer.  If you do get a call, please call the following number 1-866-580-3625.  I promise that I am not scaming you, I just want to protect people that would probably get really nervous and call back and end up with big problems like if this guy decides to start telling people to send money to fix this problem.
