Have bad credit and applied for a loan in the amount of $7,000.00.  I received a call from this place called Preston Financial Group.  I never applied with them directly but they said they got my information through other sources.  They knew the date that I had applied. All the guy asked me is to verify my address, my income and my occupation. He also asked me to verify which debts I had.  He knew that I had a bankruptcy that had not yet been discharged.  He said that I was approved for the loan for the full amount.  The terms were 36 months with a 6% fixed apr.  Hmmmm...started to wonder more about this.  He said that because of my credit, that I could not get approved through the bank, but that they had private investors that fund the loan.  My payments would be $212.92 a month.  In order to get the loan, I had to secure it by paying 6 months worth of payments, which came to $1276.32.  I wouldn't have to make my first payment until Dec.  Also told me that the payments would go toward the principal.  I was definately skeptical.  He said that he would fax them to me, and to sign and fax back. When i asked him to email them to me, he said that they no longer did that.  I asked him to mail them.  They did not do that as well because of security.  I point blank asked if it was to cover a paper trail???  He was stunned.  I also asked how I would receive the funds.  He said once I paid the money, that the funds would be in my accout the following day.  I told him, thanks and I would get back in touch with him.

I also received a call from Preston Financial approving me for a $5000 loan at 6% apr for 48 months.

I was faxed the documents and told I would need to pay the first 8 months payments up front via moneygram. I asked if it could be taken out of the principal and was told that they couldn't do that.

I definitely need the money (I wouldn't have applied otherwise), but I'm worried that this is a scam and I will be worse off than I already am.

There is no listing in the BBB directory for them.

When i asked him to email them to me, he said that they no longer did that.  I asked him to mail them.  They did not do that as well because of security.    I also asked how I would receive the funds.  she said once I paid the money, that the funds would be in my accout the following day.  She told me wire the money to Laura Robinson in Alberta Canada

Thanked me in a very weird way and said some things that though me off....the red lights when off in my head, so as soon as i got home i hopped on my computer to check out the web again and the web page that they gave me was nolonger valid, i then googled and found some horrifiing things...so i called money gram and asked if any one picked the money up yet..it wasn't to late no one picked it up so i revirsed the payment back to me, and got all my monye back just in time...when i tryed to call the "evelyn scott" she was not there so my hubby left a bad mess, saying that we were going to the police and we never hear from them till now, i have to share this....BUT PLEASE be advised it's BAD>>>>> the person who i was to sned the money to "PATRICIA JOHNSON" (in canada) i googled her name and she is not even a "alive" person she was murdered a few years back on a farm near vancover(i think) but somewere in canada...These are SICK people, and as foe"evelynn Scott" she is ant auther og books that have passed a way as well.

Just off the phone with them and i needed a loan for over 100,000 and its sounded to good to be true so i went on yahoo to and google and found this,.............thanks im not sending them 8,000 .............thanks good luck

I got a call that i was approved for a loan. I was asked to send in some money.I gave it a lot of though and came to a conclusion that i really neede money and i gave it a shot. I had spokien to a real nice gentlemen and i felt comftable. I was told to send in 960$ and i was going to get approved for a 5,000$ loan. I send in my money and gave them a call back. They said my money was going to be in my account within 24hrs. Next morning i got a call that i need to send anothe 960$ in order to get my loan. Then I called money gram and it was too late to get refunde. Is been a month and i still don't have my money. Please don't fall for this people. The are a scam and they should be arrested for this. I'm a single parent of 3 kids and they took my money.
